Why are creationists so threatened by science?

IMHO, there really doesn't have to be a science vs religion thing. Theologians such as Karl Rahner took scientific learning into account, including evolution. Tielhard de Chardin was a scientist and had an evolutionary theology. So, every Christian is not opposed to science, and every scientist is not opposed to Christianity.

I know the two are not always opposed to each other, but this fourm is about when they are; so that is what I was commenting about.

I’ve never claimed science has always had the answers, I’m saying science found those answers.

The church didn't make those holes ... scientists did.

Perhaps you are misunderstanding me. In my scenario, the holes represent questions that we don’t have answers to. Everybody creates these holes. That's what separates us from the monkeys!!!

Taking published scientific research from a science journal, extracting a few sentences from it and representing it to mean the opposite of what the research actually says, claiming the the author(s) of the paper even have doubts, is nothing more than deliberate dishonesty. I would say they seem to lack some faith if they have to lie about science.

Biologist is a broader term. As there is a growing group of biologist who are disassociating themselves with the theory, I don't think it fair.

This is a small minority at best and I am not even aware of any that is doing active research in the field. And no, it isn't "growing."

Claiming ownership of truth and calling God a liar is simply stealing from God, for God is already all goodness, truth itself.

3) Therefore, what is scientific must be right by God
4) Therefore, since the Big Bang and evolutionary theories are scientifically known, they must be right by God

It's the lack of objective testing and scientifically rigorous research that leaves creationists in the dark academically.

It is a tough row to hoe though because if you wanted to introduce God scientifically you would have to come forward with some evidence to support your claim for a unfalsifiable idea.
