It seems you are just trying to start an argument. I'm certain that at least 1/6 of the world is not Christian, and I don't think anyone here will disagree with me. I didn't come here to pick stupid fights on groundless claims. But, if you want me to back it up I will. The Gordon Conwell Theological Seminary (http://www.gcts.edu/ockenga/globalchristianity/resources.php) says that there are about 2,195,529,000 Christians in the world as of mid-2007. That still leaves about 4 Billion who don't accept Jesus. You stated that there are billions who don't believe in Jesus. I am just saying that if you are going to make a fact statement, then prove it.
You don't know the hearts of the world and thus should shy away from making statements on what people believe.
As for your good works...
Good works do not unite you to God. God has provided a way for you to be in fellowship with him. If you really think that you can do something to unite yourself with God, then you think to highly of yourself. You are but a miserable sinner who is incapable to doing anything holy. Faith (given to you by God) is the only thing that can save you. You can reject that faith all you want but you cannot DO anything to earn your salvation.
And in regards to gaining entrance to heaven through my good works, I don't believe heaven exists, and I'm not trying to reach it through my actions. Someone merely said it was selfish to assume I can do good deeds without accepting Jesus, and I wanted to know why. Ghandi wasn't a Christian, and most consider him a good person.
