• CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Israel back as a state is THE sign. Now we have to figure out how long from that it will all start.
1988 didn't go, so maybe it wasn't from the founding of the state.
Maybe it was from the 6 day war in June 1967. 40 years from that is 2007.
Or maybe the war of Yom Kippur in Oct. 1973. 40 years from that is 2013. Counting 7 years of tribulation, that would make it start 2006.
Interesting.
The time is near anyway you count it.

Israel back as a "state" is no sign of anything other than man trying to manipulate current events to bring on the end times that they mistakenly think will happen in a particular manner.

To claim otherwise is to show a very strong ignorance of what scripture actually says about the promise of the land to Abraham and its historic fulfillment.

A Cardinal went into the Pope and said, "I have some good news and some bad news."

The Pope said, "Well, let's start with the good news."

"Jesus has returned--He just called."

"Why that's great news!" exclaimed the Pope. "What could be the bad news?"

"He called from Salt Lake City."

about 2012 CE, it will be the Age of Aquarius.

According to the authoritative Strong’s Dictionary, “world” was mistranslated from the Greek, aion<, meaning “an age”. A fundamentalist favorite, the New International Version gets it right with “age”.

20teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matt. 28:20 NIV)
The Age of Pisces start in around 6 BCE.
18As he walked by the Sea of Galilee, he saw two brothers, Simon who is called Peter and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea; for they were fishermen.
19And he said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matt. 4:18-19)

So when Jesus told his disciples he will be with them until the age, he meant the Age of Pisces. His time is almost over. There will be no end of the world, only the end of an Age.

20teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the end of the age.” (Matt. 28:20 NIV)
