• Starting today August 7th, 2024, in order to post in the Married Couples, Courting Couples, or Singles forums, you will not be allowed to post if you have your Marital status designated as private. Announcements will be made in the respective forums as well but please note that if yours is currently listed as Private, you will need to submit a ticket in the Support Area to have yours changed.

  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

if you could pick any country in the world to be a citizen of besides the USA, which would it be and why?

What's your favourite board game?
Tangere, because it has a cool name. Or maybe somewhere in Canada, just because they get a ton more snow, and prettier landscapes than America. ;)

Favorite boardgame: Battleship  Scrabble, and Chess being #2 and #3.

Mah guitar. It shall soon be a dulcimer my mom made when she was in college, she told me she was going to give it to me recently.

A dulcimer  . I love those things. I've only heard them a few times but they have such a lovely sound. When you learn to play it you'll have to give us some sound samples of you playing so we can hear it.

Whats been your most impacting God moment?

What gift of the spirit would you most like to have?

If I was cooking dinner for you tonight, what would you ask me to make?
Depends, I'm not really picky - but I'm very fond of anything Italian or Greek. :)

Okay, I think i can manage that. ;) They are really fun instruments, and they definitely have a wonderful sound.

Any time I sit down and read the Bible for a good period of time. ^_^

Actually, it was about two years ago, sitting in the middle of a lawn during a hurricane.

What gift of the spirit would you most like to have?
Wisdom or prophecy.

what's your favorite song to play on your guitar?
Lately, I've been trying to play a bunch of Beatles tunes, Norwegian Wood is a really cool song. :) But always Dylan's songs, although they're really simple... Knocking on Heaven's Door is a good one.

Dove bars...
Although Baby Ruth is also awesome. :D

cats or dogs?
Can I have both....?

when is the last time you played your guitar and what song did you play?
Yesterday; Neil Young - From Hank to Hendrix (although I don't play that one much, heh, so it sounds pretty bad :D )

If you could learn any other instrument in the world what would it be?
Hmm... probably keyboard.

I'll think of more later probably ;)
Okay, I shall look forward to it!

I was gonna get a dulcimer. Maybe at a later time. God had some other plans for me.

Do you ever play christian music on your guitar and if so...what's your favorite tune to play?
Everything I play is Christian, considering that I'm a Christian and playing it. ;)

I don't have any songbooks or acoustic albums of Christian bands to learn from, so I really don't know much just yet, but I'm hoping to fix this soon. :)

Hmm. Okay, would you focus on any one subject in particular and, if so, which one?

And the inevitable 'why' is implied in that question. ;)

Not really, if I could afford it, I'd probably study all sorts of different subjects from theology, to philosophy, to biology, linguistics, anthropology, psychology, sociology, genetics, music theory, art history... Mostly because I really enjoy learning. :D

What has God been teaching you lately?

What are three of your strengths?

3 of your weaknesses?

What advice would you give a single person wanting to be married?

What advice would you give a sick person wanting to be well?

What advice would you give to a dying person who wants to live?

What advice would you give a married person who wants to be single?

What advice would you give to someone with a broken heart?

What advice would you give to someone who is lonely?

What advice would you give to someone who was unsure of their calling?

Do you like giving advice?

Do you like receiving advice?

What is the worst piece of advice someone gave you?

What about the best?

It seems like He's giving me conflicting messages lately.

I think He's been trying to teach me to be a more considerate and loving person.

What are three of your strengths?
I'm excellent at organization.
I'm excellent at critical thinking (when I'm patient).
I'm able to jump over entire buildings in a single bound. Oh, wait.... that's spider man, right?

3 of your weaknesses?
I read too much (dunno if that's a weakness, but it hurts school work, lol).
I start a billion projects that take an incredibly long time to finish, and end up abandoning half of them halfway through. :D
Cute, sweet girls, and kittens. OH! Not that kind of weakness... um, I like way too many subjects and tend to stretch myself too thin.

What advice would you give a single person wanting to be married?

What advice would you give a sick person wanting to be well?

What advice would you give to a dying person who wants to live?

What advice would you give a married person who wants to be single?
Ecclesiastes 3
1 There is a time for everything,
and a season for every activity under heaven:
2 a time to be born and a time to die,
a time to plant and a time to uproot,
3 a time to kill and a time to heal,
a time to tear down and a time to build,
4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,
5 a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them,
a time to embrace and a time to refrain,
6 a time to search and a time to give up,
a time to keep and a time to throw away,
7 a time to tear and a time to mend,
a time to be silent and a time to speak,
8 a time to love and a time to hate,
a time for war and a time for peace.

What advice would you give to someone with a broken heart?
Depends on who it was asking me. I'd probably tell them that everything happens for a reason, there's a guy/girl out there who's perfect for them, but they shouldn't give up - then give them some chocolate and a kitten.

What advice would you give to someone who is lonely?
I would tell them "Hey, me too!" and then give them a kitten.
What advice would you give to someone who was unsure of their calling?
"When you figure out how to deal with it, let me know, because I could use the same advice... maybe we should join a monastery somewhere."

Do you like giving advice?
Yes, I'm quite fond of it (and I'm actually good at it sometimes... don't take this thread as an example, it was most just me joking around :D I don't ever give out the same advice twice because nobody has the same situation).

Do you like receiving advice?
Not usually. I don't like being a burden to people. :sorry:

What is the worst piece of advice someone gave you?
"Whoa, dude, you should put some duct tape on that."

followed by...

"Don't pet him when he's hungry."

"I told you not to pet him."
What about the best?
"When you get older, you'll probably look back and think "I was a total moron.". So, instead of being a total moron, be wise and make wise choices."
