  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.
  • We hope the site problems here are now solved, however, if you still have any issues, please start a ticket in Contact Us

Blue

What place in the world would you most like to visit
Probably either Scotland or Israel.

Whats your favourite kind of animal
Lemurs! Definitely.... and then, second, Marmosets!

Whats the weirdest thing you've ever eaten
Calamari.

Whats the weirdest thing you've ever seen
A one eyed, one armed, flying purple people eater... :o

Really... probably a two headed snake in southern Florida. Really weird stuff.

What place gives you the most peace you've ever experienced
That should be obvious. ;) The patience and love of our Lord.

And then in a far second place, some yogi tea by a nice fire in wintertime.

what you looking forward to this week?
This week, or next week? Everything I was looking forward to this week happened: Got my laptop from financial aid, finally got my paycheck after waiting a hundred and three years [still waiting on another one, though]... replaced the battery in my car like five minutes ago.

Next week: Looking forward to hopefully getting my other paycheck, Church [as I'll probably be going on Sunday, yay], replacing my tire so that my car runs perfectly again, and finishing the application database I'm writing at work. ^_^

what was the last dream that you could remember.
Umm.... good question. I have so many electronic devices running in my room at any given point that the white noise tends to remove all dreams from my waking mind. :D

But the last one I can remember was a long time ago, at least 6 months... I was about a quarter awake, the sun was up and I was looking at my window. I couldn't hear anything, it was dead silent, but I could feel something like a heavy bass note reverberating through the air, and for some reason I was convinced there was a dragon sitting outside my window breathing fire on the chair under the window. It was very odd. Very vivid, too... considering I can still remember it.

if you could get all of us to come by your place, let's assume we could all fit, what would you cook for us, do with us, etc.
I would probably just have a cookout and have some BBQ steak, pork, ribs, hamburgers, hotdogs, sausages [with sauerkraut, of course], macaroni salad, collard greens, fresh salad [from my garden, probably... if there's enough veggies there to feed X number of people. :D ], and plenty of fruit salad.

Umm... I'd probably treat it like any other occasion of that nature and just have a mini-party type event, which would end up like a giant bible study. ^_^ Which is often the case with stuff like that in my family. Bunch of lunatics we are.

Have you ever pooped in the woods?
Excellent question, allow me to draw you an elaborate and detailed answer... :D

Yes, I have.... when you go camping for ten days in the middle of nowhere, in a backwoodsish setting, it's kind of unavoidable... but it's usually a good idea to bring your own supplies, if you know what I'm saying....:sorry:

Have you ever rescued a baby animal and looked after it until you could find it a home (or given it a home)
Yes - many numbers of times. One specific incident, and most heartbreaking of all the times I've done it, was while I was going home from a friends house. I heard a kitten meowing by a dumpster, and found that there was a litter of them, but that their mother had been killed by raccoons. I felt really bad for them... So I took them home, and eventually a friend of mine adopted them from me, and that's where they're living now. :) They're the sweetest cats in the world, too.

Oh, teh evil..... :D

Do you consider yourself to be really organized?
Sometimes, other times I'm horribly disorganized. Ha, depends on what we're talking about - I'm excellent with finances and schoolwork, have a terribly messy room though. :o

Do you have any pets?
Dog and a cat, Pepper and Demented Mrs. Kitty, Baby.

What is the scariest thing that's ever happened to you?
I met Demented Mrs. Kitty, Baby. Haha..

I was locked in a trunk for a day and a half when I was ten years old. :p

What is one of your most pleasant memories?
Picking apples in an orchard near Johnstown Ohio in the fall with my family.

Are you "hot natured" or "cold natured"?
Depends. Most of the time I'm quite cool natured, but given the right situation I can be hot natured - I'm very defensive of friends and family.

What is your most prized possession?
Mah guitar. It shall soon be a dulcimer my mom made when she was in college, she told me she was going to give it to me recently.

What are some of your pet peeves?
Hmm... pop-psychology/pop-religion, and when people treat me like I'm computer illiterate.

What kind of things do you like to do in your spare time?
I read a lot. Mostly.

Do you have any siblings?
Two sisters, both younger, one is 19, the other 12.

Do you get along pretty well with your family?
Yup. Very well.

Do you like roller coasters?
Absolutely! I love them.

What kind of music do you listen to?
Everything under the sun, except for rap and pop music. Mostly folk, bluegrass, classic rock, metal, and classical music.

Do you have any favorite sports teams?
Ohio State Buckeyes! *roots like crazy person*

What is the weirdest dream you've ever had?
Dunno, I tend not to remember my dreams.
What is your favorite song?
Bob Dylan - The Times They Are a' Changing

Do you have a favorite verse in the Bible? If so, what is your favorite verse? Why do you like it so much?
1 Peter 1
13Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is revealed. 14As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16for it is written: "Be holy, because I am holy."
17Since you call on a Father who judges each man's work impartially, live your lives as strangers here in reverent fear. 18For you know that it was not with perishable things such as silver or gold that you were redeemed from the empty way of life handed down to you from your forefathers, 19but with the precious blood of Christ, a lamb without blemish or defect.

At least right now... lol

This verse reminds me to keep my mind in clarity by focusing on good things, while not being afraid to confront negative things, and to keep myself constantly in a state of betterment while living for Christ and His love and grace.

What is your favorite movie?
LOTR, oh yes. I am terribly cliched.

Do you have to have caffiene in the mornings?
Not generally, I used to, but I'm taking a medication now that works far better than caffeine could ever hope to work. So I drift away from coffee anymore.
