Who would you prefer to warn you of impending danger.

Who would you want to warn you of a tornado: a gay or a straight meteorologist?

  • A gay meteorologist.

  • A straight meteorologist: gays have reprobate minds and are not capable of issuing warnings.

  • I don't care: JUST ISSUE THE WARNING!!!

Situation: a supercell thunderstorm is approaching the area where you live. The storm has intensified, a wall cloud has developed, and a tornado has descended and is now on the ground and moving directly towards your neighborhood. This thunderstorm also features 100 mph straight-line winds and softball-size hail.

I'm gay and a meteorologist. I have access to the National Weather Service's Doppler radars and direct access to the National Weather Service so they can issue warnings.

On the other side of the city, there is another meteorologist who is straight. He also has access to the NWS radars and can contact the NEW so they can issue warnings, but he lives on the other side of the city.

The tornado has now reached EF-4 status and is still intensifying as it approaches.

Who would you want to warn you: a gay or a straight meteorologist?

I didn't know you were a meteorologist, UberLutheran!

So, a good samaritan story I guess.

Well, we don't have extreme weather here in the Netherlands (maybe because we have gay marriage? Which is bad enough in itself, a punishment from God? ;) ).

I have no objections to either of you warning me. How on earth would I know whether someone is gay or not? (Apart from the obvious - that it doesn't matter for your professional skills etc.) I never inquire after someone else's sex life. Is the straight meteorologist married, does he have kids, how often does he do the deed? Has he ever cheated on his wife? Are his children biologically his? All important info that I need to know.

I'll try to get you that information before the tornado hits.

It's good to know whether or not the straight meteorologist is married, whether or not he has kids, whether or not their love-making is sanctified, whether or not he's cheated on his wife and if the children are biologically his while the roof is being peeled off your house (just before the walls blow in).

This will surprise you, but the Netherlands DOES get tornadoes. Yours occur mostly during the winter months, and they're usually quite weak. Great Britain gets the most tornadoes of any country in Europe, followed by Germany.

I'm always glad when I see extreme weather in the US on the news that such things don't happen over here (or if they do, they're very rare). I am worried about the future though - sea level will rise, rivers will too. I live on the riverside, on low ground (as most of the Netherlands - which is largely below sealevel). We're overpopulated as it is; there's not enough room for everyone on the high and dry grounds, so that's a worrying thought. The water will probably not kill, but we will get wet feet.

I trust the national weather service to make the right decisions when they employ people. So it's not really my choice anyway. :D

PS All the folks on the weather channel are definately family people. The women are pregnant about half the time. I don't think Jim Cantore is gay -- no, not by a long shot!!!!

You do realise that some of us here are also family people? Just because we can' physically have children doesn't mean we don't desire to have children.

Okay, UberLutheran. You in a building on fire and on the 26th floor. There is a fireman that is a fundamentalist Christian there on the scene ready to climb the ladder to get you. There is a fireman that is a gay Christian on a fire truck on its way to the scene. Do you wait for the gay Christian fireman, or do you let the fundamentalist fireman try to save you?

How about this one: You are dieing in a hospital and two angels show up. One says he's taking you where almost all gays go, and the other says he's taking you to a place where there aren't any gays. Which one do you want to go with?

No tornado's here..but I'd have to get my warning from a gay meteorologist simply becauset our ABC/CBS/NBC and FOX weathermen are all gay. Two of them I know. LOL. Wonder if there is something behind that? hmmm....

I don't care who issues the warning.

Someone being homosexual makes them no less human than me or any less Christian. We all have sinned and need to repent.

But anyways, back to the weather....Call me Uber if their is a tornado headed my way. ;)

Come to think of it, the meterologist on the most watched local news channel here (the NBC affiliate) is also gay. He is the first person I see when bad weather is predicted because they have the best storm coverage.

see what I'm saying....also, a friend of mine is a weather man in a Boston affiliate...he's also gay. I'm in the NYC area..so I know our weathermen are gay. Not only do I see them out..but common knowledge for years! Now even the weatherman on FOX is gay...and we all know how conservative that network is....

I'm not following you I think.

Talking about the afterlife you give two options:
1. there's a place where ALMOST ALL gays go.
2. there's a place where NO gays go.

So where do the rest of the gays go???
