Who would you prefer to warn you of impending danger.

Who would you want to warn you of a tornado: a gay or a straight meteorologist?

  • A gay meteorologist.

  • A straight meteorologist: gays have reprobate minds and are not capable of issuing warnings.

  • I don't care: JUST ISSUE THE WARNING!!!

I don't care who issues the warning.

Someone being homosexual makes them no less human than me or any less Christian. We all have sinned and need to repent.

But anyways, back to the weather....Call me Uber if their is a tornado headed my way. ;)

Hey: I'm five for five this spring as far as the accuracy of my tornado warnings...

How about this: you're dying in a hospital and two angels show up. One says he's taking you to Heaven, which is reserved for Methodists, Lutherans, United Presbyterians, Episcopalians and Catholics; and the other one is taking you to the place where fundamentalists go.

Which would you choose?

fundie land for moi.

As for me: I would ask the angel where you and Der Alter went, and choose the other place.

OK you'e going with the gay angel then. You''l have a gay 'ol time.

Okay, UberLutheran. You in a building on fire and on the 26th floor. There is a fireman that is a fundamentalist Christian there on the scene ready to climb the ladder to get you. There is a fireman that is a gay Christian on a fire truck on its way to the scene. Do you wait for the gay Christian fireman, or do you let the fundamentalist fireman try to save you?

How do I know the fundamentalist Christian fireman won't get me out on the ladder and then push me off the ladder?

Wouldn't I be just as dead after falling 26 stories as I would be from smoke inhalation?

I mean: just because I'm not going to tell you to go outside and look at the approaching EF-4 tornado doesn't mean I'm going to trust the fundamentalist Christian fireman to get me out of the building (alive)!

I'm not following you I think.

Talking about the afterlife you give two options:
1. there's a place where ALMOST ALL gays go.
2. there's a place where NO gays go.

So where do the rest of the gays go???

Either Fire Island, Key West, or San Francisco.

that would be the devil. He's beautiful I hear, and real smart too.

Judging from a lot of what I've seen posted on several Christian boards, it's not going to take an awful lot to have a devil who is smarter than a lot of fundamentalists!

Oh, good! Then we won't have to deal with each other in the afterlife.

no, you'll have to deal with all the other differences.

Could I talk you into taking Der Alter and DMagoh with you, when you go?

Sure. Great minds think alike. :D

We'll send Lazarus down your way every now and then with a bucket of water. Hope nobody pees in it. :o

Yay, I'm catholic, so that means I'm in! Thanks UberLutheran, I knew I could count on you!

That's right, we let God do the real thinking.

Well then if I had to choose, I'd choose this third option.
1. They're on earth, and I don't want to die, thank you very much.
2. I've always wanted to see San Francisco. And Fire Island too. One of my favourite children's books* is about Fire Island, and it sounded pretty nice.

Is this place where the queen of heaven marries the church bride in a monogamous loving relationship?

Peeing in a bucket of drinking water wouldn't be a very CHRISTIAN thing to do, would it?

Well -- at least REAL Christians wouldn't do something like that. On the other hand, I suppose we could test the water for traces of THC... :)

We'll put you on the Lazurus water bucket list too. We hate to see our backsliders go completely thirsty.

Hmmm: I wondered what the fundamentalist position was regarding Catholics going to Heaven.

We ELCA Lutherans consider Catholics to be our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, whom we look forward to seeing in Heaven.

How do fundamentalists view this?

The Blessed Virgin Mary may be the Mother of God and the Queen of Heaven, but I she believe she was also spoken for earlier with regards to marriage.

Well I was speaking of the Goddess Dianna, perhaps she could marry the church bride. I mean you guys are all practiced up for that kind of ceremony anyway.

I know many fine catholics. They have been very generous in helping us independent fundies get our churches started.

We ELCA Lutherans consider Catholics to be our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ, whom we look forward to seeing in Heaven.

Well I'm not hoping for anyone to be in hell. I never did think that.

How do fundamentalists view this?

We believe in repentence unto salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord. We believe He set the standard, so whatever He says goes as far as we are concerned.

Well, if anybody would know about that kind of stuff -- it would be you, MercyBurst.

Some of the rest of us need to stay on top of our day jobs, especially when they involve warning the general public.
