  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

Have you ever tried to take a picture of a Thunderstorm? My cousins and I tried a couple years ago in Yellowstone. We went through over 3 rolls of film in about two hours just trying to get pictures of lighting... We never got one! Oh well we had a blast justing watching and listening to God's power.

God Bless!!!

I love sitting on my front porch and listening to it rain and thunder. Where we live now we see rainbows all the time, I love watching a storm roll by and then seeing a rainbow appear in the sky. Iwould love to see a tornado some day, as long as it is a good distance away. I especially love sitting on my porch at night and watch the sky light up when it lightnings.

I love thunderstorms, and I love generally darker skies. The sun is nice, and so are brilliant days, but if the skies had a little bit of clouds most of the time, and it rained some of the time, and it stormed violently every once in a while, I would think I was living in the location closest to heaven!

I do. I love the feeling of what it feels like to stand outside right before a storm hits. It's one amazing, spiritual experience for me all together!
I enjoy thunderstorms very much when it's not harming anyone. It's fascinating and foreboding at the same time. My wife jokes around whenever it thunderstorms by saying, "Well Herman (from the Munsters tv show), are you ready to go out on a picnic?"

I've got a pretty perverse relationship with thunderstorms. I love to watch the clouds cumulating, rising from the horizon and unleashing their electricity from a little distance, but once they occupy the air space right above me, they can scare the heck out of me! (I mean, when the lightning flash is accompanied by the roar in less than three seconds...) But I think that's just a natural self-protection instinct!
