Well, gee. Since all the Middle-eastern guys here answering my inquiry are in agreement that Allah is the same G-d that I put my full faith in even though I was born in the US, I'd have to say that once again the Atheists (peanut gallery) on this message board are wrong yet again.

People are Muslim for one of the following, a) fright of the fallen angel(s) affected them after reading the Qur'an, b) they were born into Islam and are obligated by family to be Muslim. No, he is not. Regardless of who strokes it until it fits. He is a pagan god of the pagan arabs, etal, redefined by muslims to force their way into acceptance and fitting in. Neither will happen.

Allah is simply the Arabic name for the same One God worshipped by, among others, Jews and Christians!

And this is proven by the fact that Arab Christians worship Allah!

In fact, God has MANY names and titles, in many languages, and any of these are equally acceptable!

Just a few of these names (in various languages) are: God, Boje, Jehovah, Wankantanka, Yahweh, Dieu, Gott, Bog, Allah, Dios, and Pavardegar.

And ANY of these are just fine!

I always assumed that was if you believed in the Islamic faith. Clearly you don't believe that Yahweh (or Allah, if you use the Arabic/Islamic term) was the god represented in the Koran?

Since you cannot demonstrate as fact a connection between islam and Abraham, your contention is built on sand. Allah is not a name, neither is Gott or any of the others. It's a title, not a name. Let it percolate.
