Those aren't random matters thought up by 'liberals'. They are the facts of the matter. That the guy concerned is, depite those matters and many, many others is only a couple of points behind in the polls is a sad reflection of the state of US politics.

The rest of the world has been watching this slow motion train wreck for too long. But to continue the railroad analogy, there is at last some light at the end of this dark and dismal tunnel.

I'm not denigrating Donald Trump. This is not the venue and I don't have enough time to do any denigrating justice.

I just listed a series of actions that he took around the 2020 election that I believe make him a threat to US democracy. There are plenty of other actions that I could have listed. For instance, pressuring a foreign ally to invent dirt on his political opponent. Or asking a hostile foreign government for dirt on another. Or support - both implicit and tacit - for rollbacks of elements of the Voting Rights Act. Or constant falsehoods about illegal immigrants voting. Or attempts at altering the 2020 Census to allow for better gerrymandering.

As for why Trump is still standing? Ego. I think he's a self-aggrandizing narcissist with a complex that won't allow him to recognize any information that doesn't align with his own positive self image. I also believe a very large part of his reason for seeking a second term is to avoid a long, all-expenses paid vacation into a very sturdily build Federal facility.

No one I know is afraid of an empty suit Harris , she is already getting cold feet about the one debate she has obligated herself to. She complained when Trump wanted to renegotiate debate rules now she wants new rules not in the debate agreement Joe and Trump made. She even wants to have notes , I guess to keep her lies straight. She is a joke. It will become apparent after the debate.
