Hmm... So now you believe in mutations?
What does that mean? I said that I do not believe in the selective advantage of mutations. I said I do not believe in evolutionists mutation theory. That does not mean I do not believe in mutations. Population genetics is based on markers that are mutations. I use that as evidence for the historical accuracy of the Bible. Do you not believe in mutations when those mutations prove that the Bible is true and accurate?

I have no faith, so no need for evidence
So Agnosticism runs on no need for evidence, does it?

Fair enough -- neither does mine; so don't call your mindset 'science' and mine 'religion' and expect me to agree.

Can a believer in Christ believe in evolution? Absolutely not.

The position of theistic evolution is false. God did not use evolution as his methof of creation. This is a contradiction in terms. Natural selection is cruel....the struggle for life and the elimination of the weakest....not part of Gods plan for the human race. What Christian could defend this method? God is not about mutations and trials and mistakes. If one thinks theistic evolution is true...then Genesis is a farse a book of misinformation.
If Adam did not eat the fruit and fall into sin then we has human beings do not need a Savior, sin doesnt exist and there is no need for redemption.

Mathematician Dr. David Berlinski had this to say. "Darwin's theory of evolution is the last of the great-nineteenth century mystery religions. And as we speak it is now following Freudianism and Marxism into the Nether regions, and I'm quite sure that Freud, Marx and Darwin are commiserating one with the other in the dark dungeon where discarded gods gather."

To think that complexed biological systems just formed perfectly...the eye and what about the egg...one of the most complexed structures in the universe. To think this all just arose for no reason...and by chance.

One giant leap of faith...........

Evolution.......

Everyone on earth has a different genetic code and fingerprint? Wow what are the odds of this happening?

Science is not a religion, and is not the opposite of religion either, as much as you guys want to make it so.

Another that doesn't know what evolution is? The odds of this happening are 99.9999(infinite 9s)%; if two people had the exact same DNA, down to the last base, that would actually be evidence against evolution.

Since Christ is Truth the quest of Science appears to be a very christian endeavor, indeed.

And, in this Age we have established this scientific method by which Truth can be pinned down and made explicitly the same for all observes.
Truth for me, under laboratory conditions is the same truth for you and our peers.

However, it is more germane to Christianity that we discover, recognize, and admit to the Truth in the discipline of Human Behavior.

As an example, the Bible focuses our attention on the distrucive nature of sexual promiscuity.
We are advised against toleration of harlotry and overt homosexual expressions in our society.

The atheist and Gay communities fiercely attack this advice and have always argued that their behavior hurts no on.
But the evidence today is now available in Statistics which show that Single Mothers have grown to @ 50% of all American families.

In addition to requiring a change in economics, (promoting an untried Socialism to replace a system that would not otherwise have seemed "broken"), that Stats tell us that 75% of crime and all social problems are caused by kids raised without the authority of a natural father in the home.

You have me quoting something I did not say....could you please edit it? Thanks

Well I beg to differ......I think a lot of scientists worship their microscopes.....:)

The Bible says otherwise.

We either walk by faith, or we walk by sight.

If science isn't religion, then science walks by sight; and science is pretty myopic, in my estimation.

I don't get it AV, you mentioned many times here that you believe in most of evolution, and then you agree when someone says that a believer in Christ can't believe in evolution?
I'm sure she is referring to macroevolution.

Microevolution is a.k.a. adaptation.

No, she is not, she is referring to all of it, and I quote again:

The position of theistic evolution is false. God did not use evolution as his methof of creation. This is a contradiction in terms. Natural selection is cruel....the struggle for life and the elimination of the weakest....not part of Gods plan for the human race. What Christian could defend this method? Changing topics again? Start a new thread, and I will gladly answer there. Actually, those questions are more appropriate in the Philosophy subforum. Just a reminder, this thread was started by someone asking for evidence from creationists (of which there is none).

Can't answer them can you? LOL

These have everything to do with this subject matter and creationism. We creationists were asked for evidence. And we are doing just that. Creation....biblical accounts of creation.

Most of you are making us feel like we are idots...for believing the creation story from Genesis. But the fact is.....and why I bring up the questions is to show you that...you don't have the answers either and the fact that you defend evolution basically as the first cause...is just false. Science has no clue what that first cause was. So why your group is parading around here like you have the answers to these...I don't know because you can't prove us wrong.
I listed the questions...because I knew you could not answer them. This makes a big point....a point you just don't want to address.

The fact is this discussion or dialogue......is ridiculous. You are not looking for any evidence we might give...because this is a game to your side. Athiests, agnostics.....lurking aroung a website of God believers. Why? LOL
To learn anything? Not really Its a joke and entertainment for you. If you say there is no proof........THEN WHY ARE YOU HERE ASKING US? LOL

What you are doing is showing the meanspiritness of the people who share your worldview. The truth is...Christianity canot coexist in a world community with relative morality as its basis. And the evolutionary theory is based on this. One or the other worldview will yield. There are two worldviews represented here with two totally different belief systems clashing. This is way more than just how we were created it is spiritual in nature....thats the real nature of the battle.

I will state one last time my position.....evolution is not science at all, just a belief system about the past, a past we DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TOO. We live in the present. We can't directly test the past..using the scientific method. What evidences we have today are in the PRESENT. Creationism is also a belief about the past. We just base our beliefs in the Bible and a God that tells us what happened. Evolution comes from men who were not there and who are fallible and who all have biases. ARe they objective truth seekers? Not always. I choose to believe God.

I was just thinking that an athiest believes there is no God. Can they even entertain the question, did God create? I don't think so because the minute they do allow it as a question, they are no longer athiests. So here comes the bias. An athiest scientist who would look for fossils and the world around him... it wouldnt matter what evidence he would find...it would have nothing to do with biblical events or evidence. The idea of a god and evidence that would support it...well its unimaginable to an athiest. They never could abandon the athiest worldview. How much bias comes into his work? Creation can't even be considered.

(i) First Council of Nicea primarily rejected Arianism. What exactly is your point?
it was only a meeting where Christianity tried to get its story straight.

(ii) I'm afraid this is such a poor argument, and one that I would challenge you or anyone else to back up.
Firstly, it's completely wrong to say that "every religion" makes these claims. Give me one example of another religion (other than Christianity) which argues for it's validity based on historical accuracy. And don't just name another religion - lay out the argument briefly with a reference to the historical evidence.
If you research this properly then you will find that only Christianity is founded on actual historical evidence.

Secondly, it's a totally fallacious argument anyway. Do you not understand that something can only be true if it corresponds to reality? Does it not occur that if 2 belief systems say opposite things then they both cannot be true?
The argument that other religions making truth claims based on correctness and historical evidence somehow cancel each other out is completely false.
So you think Christan is the one special religion from all the myths? Prove it. Oh... your proof is your religious book and you cant give evidence for why its true over any other religious book? well though luck then.

And yet again you've provided 2 points (they're not arguments) and nothing evidence wise to back them up.
In future, if you say something like "First Council of Nicea (enough said)" - it might be an idea to actually explain what your argument actually is??? Or have you just picked up a copy of The Da Vinci code?

I don't need to provide evidence for a god that isn't their. That is your job.

God IS Love.
The Holy Bible was written by those in Love(God).
All in Love(God), are one.
Love is peace, joy, all things that are good.
You have read the bible right? You must have skipped a few chapters.
