Exactly. And it's what dooms dad's claims completely. Dad is basically claiming that all of science is wrong. Everything. That we can know nothing about either the past or the future.
If that is the case, then we can't trust the Bible. We can't trust revelation. We can't trust any written document. We can't trust any intuitive feelings about the past or future. We don't know that dad was born. We don't know that dad's parents were born. We know, quite literally, nothing.
Now, if that's the nihilist, existential position he wants to take, that's fine; but need to realize that he is discarding the Bible in doing so.
