Who is that addressed to?So what you're saying is...God can be proven?
Go ahead. I'm waiting.
Anyone know what causes gravity? Exactly? How about the strong or weak nuclear forces? How about atomic spin? Where do the forces in our universe, or part of it, come from? How did they get there, according to science? Why must they be as they are?
For Christians, the answer is obvious. God created it, and set it up that way. Intelligently designed, and set in motion.
Science knows somewhat about how physical laws work, but not what they are!
This is one reason we may not assume our laws will be here till the universe dies from them. Or that they were here at creation.
Gravitons R.I.P.
So, laws here in our physical world, and environs are set up for here and now. Not forever.
Actually, what we are mostly dealing with here is what knowledge science has, or not. For example, the not knowing what the basic forces of the universe are. For example not knowing anything beyond the present state. These sorts of things. This is the so called knowledge we can test. And test it is what I am doing here. Not ranting about various holy books, or other alternatives to not knowing. People may scurry off to where they wish to pick a belief to fill in the woefully inadequate belief based so called science models that are produced.
If you do not know what time is, how can you prove that time as we conceive of it exists among the stars? If you do not even know what gravity is, how can you say where it really comes from? Science is like a bunch of kids playing with toys, and not realizing who put the batteries in.
Praytell, why bring up gaps then, as if you had a dozey up your sleeve?OK, then. Although I didn't think about time gaps when I was talking about gaps. Nor I say there is a gap.
So you can read Genesis 1 and see how God performs much better than a replicator. Even better, because the replicator in Star Trek uses already existing patterns, while God uses only the patterns formed in his mind that did not exist previously.
Here God talks for the first time not only to Himself. As there is nothing else living there except the animals, birds and fish, God have to talk to them. Unless there is a knowledge gap (in Genesis 1) and God is talking to an entity that have been not introduced. Maybe God is also talking to Earth, Sun, waters, land, etc.
Well, the God's replicator failed and created us only in His image... the likeness, well who needs likeness.
The first word translated as "image" can also be translated as "idol", "sculpture", "shadow", etc. things that preserve visual shape. The second word(likeness) can be translated as words that represent similarity in usually non-visual way, i.e. likeness, fashion, like as, similitude...
Says...who? You really think He was shell shocked?Despite that His conjuring abilities didn't work as expected:
and He rested on the next day, as if everything is OK.
Well, our relatively cave men technology will have to do for the time being. The good stuff we will have to wait for till God's tomorrow. Try to be thankful anyhow.Says the man using a computer.
The issue is not how men are deceived to think God had something wrong here. The issue is what man has at all.Zzzzz.
Can you tell me what God is? Where did God come from? Where God lives? Why God lied to the bible authors about creation?
Come on, come on. Tell me. I want complete answers now or your whole philosophy is pants.![]()
Well, our relatively cave men technology...
For some, the answer is no, they cannot be introduced to God, or reintroduced, or to science, much like a horse that is led to water can't be made to drink.I think the real question is "Can you...?" You and science don't seem to be well acquainted enough for you to make introductions.

So you can give it but you can't take it.The issue is not how men are deceived to think God had something wrong here. The issue is what man has at all.
Oh, no. Not at all. Trying has little to do with it. Kind of like choosing a road. All roads are worship ways. The fact men move down any means they worship. That is what man does, and was made to do. Not admitting it, or being deluded somehow into thinking only God's highway is worship, doesn't change that.Sure, but that doesn't necessarily mean you worship something else - and it's especially hard to worship something when you're not even actively trying to.

The first time I notice that gods appear in the bible is Gen 31:30 The meanings are as follows.
Definition
-
[*] (plural)
- rulers, judges
- divine ones
- angels
- gods
[*] (plural intensive - singular meaning)

- god, goddess
- godlike one
- works or special possessions of God
- the (true) God
- God
In the final days of man, the game is the same.
Re 9:20 -And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Money, in other words, and the works of man. Also the spirits behind the scenes that are not of God. The method for Christians is quite clear, that we can test the spirits. God gave us the scientific test. Once we run the test, we KNOW right away whether a spirit, a movement, a philosophy, a person, or etc is of God, or NOT. I can look at the environmental movement, or a president of a powerful country, or an education system, body of knowledge, etc, and get the results of the test within minutes. Works every time.
Here is the test.
1 John 4:1 Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world. 2 Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God: 3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
You mean, proof?Well considering that AV keeps quoting Split Rock every time someone asks him for evidence for his claims, I would say there's a pretty good chance.
No, I don't -- you must have one of those Arab phones.I'll look for it but it's the one where you were trying to explain to AV that nothing is 'proven' in science. Now AV uses that any time anyone asks him for evidence.
LOLUsually in reference to something that is, um, not science...
That's not a very good hypothesis, dad. I don't worship scientists, or the president, or anything. I also perform good "works" without any kind of guidance.
What it seems liek you're saying is that if you're not worshiping the Christian god, then it means you're either worshiping the next person in the line of command, or just the hobby or profession that interests you the most. Wrong.
Things I find most important: My family, friends, knowledge, freedom, and peace. None of these I worship like a god.
LOL
You guys don't even know what he's talking about; and you're automatically agreeing with him.
