No -- they believe that, and are trying to project their interpretation on to us.

If we accepted their interpretations of the Bible, we'd be out hunting witches, marching off on some crusade, or trying people by ordeal.

I would say Isaiah was referring to what is now called the Arctic circle.

Not to spite them; but their opinions are important to me, as I value them in deciding which way to go sometimes with an interpretation or opinion.

For the most part, if a scientist or an atheist is against it, I'm all for it; there are exceptions though.

I go by what the verse says, if it can be interpreted another way, then I go to Plan B, which is basic doctrine.

Because fossilization must occur through rapid burial where the animal must be buried alive. Since the flood, there has not been anything so catastrophic that can bury animals as big as dinosaurs alive and also be caused by water.
