Consider my use of ellipses to showcase that I do not think highly of your trite claim that God cleaned up the world after the Noahic Flood, basically forcing us to rely on the Bible. Which is again only your claim and nothing else.

Well ... you know ...

You could rely on the OP instead.

But the OP isn't going to encourage you to rely on the Bible, is it?

So ... either way ... you're not going to rely on the Bible, are you?

Your mind has been made up -- (for you).

It's a poor shepherd that blames his flock.

But no, I had already reached my decision LONG before I saw the OP's video, so don't go blaming them.

I wasn't blaming "them".

In fact, I was going to mention that your mind was made up before you even saw the video.

No ... by saying your mind was made up for you, I wasn't talking about Nick Zentner.

I was talking about another Nick.

Or maybe, just maybe, and this is a very wild possibility... your interpretation of the Bible might not be 100% infallible, as you are just a regular old human and therefore cannot say with any certain what God or the Bible says is 100% true and correct.

Ever think of that?

Floods leave distinctive geological evidence behind. Among other things, current ripples provide some of that physical evidence. The supposed size and violence of the Noah's flood would have left behind humongous size current ripples all over the Earth surface. But they simply don't exist. There's a lot of different kinds of geological features one sees in floods that simply are not there when looking for evidence of a Noah type global flood. Current ripples are one of those missing features.

The video below provides a good but short teaching tool on current ripples created by the Ice Age Floods that ran through the Pacific Northwest. In my time studying the Ice Floods I've seen these ripples. Nick Zentner teaches geology at Central Washington University. I've learned a lot of Pacific Northwest geology from him. Enjoy the learning lesson.

I sure have thought of that.

And until someone comes up with a better explanation than God cleaning up a global Flood in a week's time, I'll stick with my "infallible interpretation."

Fair enough. Just don't expect anyone and everyone else to go along with you.

The Ice Age Floods were 10 thousand years ago. The Noah Flood was suppose to have happened 4 thousand years ago, which would erased all evidence of the ripples from the Ice Age floods. Those ripples are still there, thus no Noah Flood.

The Ice Age Floods were 10 thousand years ago.

They were, huh?

The Noah Flood was suppose to have happened 4 thousand years ago,

Specifically in 2348 BC.

... which would erased all evidence of the ripples from the Ice Age floods.

It sure would have.

But those ripples are there, aren't they?

What's that tell you?

Those ripples are still there,

They sure are.

... thus no Noah Flood.

More like no "10 thousand years ago."

I've yet to see someone who disagrees with me come up with a better explanation.

Assuming they give an explanation at all.

I get a lot of, "the water went back down into the earth;" but that's about as close as it comes.

It only explains half of the water.

Where did the rest of it go?

It's not really a question of 'better explanation'. If you think it does, that says it all really.

That a global flood as described by a literal reading of the Bible didn't occur.

A literal reading of the Bible has nothing to say about some local floods in the Pacific northwest.

Run it through a computer and see what explanation the computer comes up with as to how the earth recovered itself from a global flood within a week's time.

I'll bet it will go 404.

Then patch that 404 with the Bible, and see what the computer comes up with.

Yes indeed, that is correct. Funny how that is, isn't?

Not funny at all.

The Bible ends the history of the earth circa AD 100.

This Pacific northwest flood came about centuries later -- if it happened at all.
