When the operating systems abandon your computer

Well, the problem happens in the loading of the live disk. This isn't even going so far as an attempt at installation. I was under the impression that the live mode left the internal hard drive unchanged.

At any rate, version 18.x works fine, but 19.x won't load. It's as simple as the first bootable disk works, and the second bootable disk does not.

As I said before, I haven't worked with computers for over a decade; so I don't understand the terms, live mode, 18.x & 19.x.

However, I do have a lot of experience with computers, software and hardware, mostly hardware. With what you are describing; I wouldn't look at the hardware right now. I would suspect that the computer itself (the hardware) is fine. I suspect that you have a security issue with Windows. That is what I would start researching.
