Everyone gets treated like that here. So when is it ok and when it it not ok to abuse people?

Even then just saying that you disaprove of or criticize a particular race isn't racism. Just pointing out their shortfalls hardly constitutes abuse.

Racism is basically those people who actually abuse people because of their race.

It doesn't mean we don't love them.

Look, I can disapprove and criticize a race or ethnicity it doesn't mean I don't love them, only that I think their actions are wrong or lowly.

In the same manner I may disapprove of what my brother does in his life, but it doesn't mean I don't love him.
But you are judging individuals you know nothing about.

Well suppose a particular race is well known for being greedy. Greed is a sin. I do not approve of sin.
You can't judge an individual person by generalizations made by others.

Can I judge that a doctor or lawyer is probably a pretty smart guy without asking them to take an IQ test. Are doctors and lawyers not also groups of people?

What leads you to believe that color of skin determines how smart we are?

It's just a matter of perspective. Obviously you would start with the assumption that all races are equal. Do you have proof of that?
No I don't. Do you have proof either way?

It's not just the color of someone's skin, but their race.
What is your definition of race? Is it based on science or culture, etc.?

In one example that demonstrated genetic differences were not fixed along racial lines, the full genomes of James Watson and Craig Venter, two famous American scientists of European ancestry, were compared to that of a Korean scientist, Seong-Jin Kim. It turned out that Watson (who, ironically, became ostracized in the scientific community after making racist remarks) and Venter shared fewer variations in their genetic sequences than they each shared with Kim.
Race Is a Social Construct, Scientists Argue

Several years ago I saw a TV documentary where they tested the genetics of several, 20 maybe, people. The two people that shared the most in their genetics was a Native American and a second generation Italian American. Who'd thunk it?

Just because you have a black girlfriend, husband, friend or whatever doesnt negate racist feelings towards a group of people. He could still just like her and hate the the rest of black people...or he could just be using her.

I tend to believe most people like or dislike other people based on behavior or disagreement on beliefs/ideals.

I hope that is true. Unfortunately there are people who believe the color of one's skin tells them what that person's beliefs and ideals are.

Exactly how enjoyable is it to be discriminated, mistreated, and abused simply for something that is literally skin deep?

"Appearance is skin deep, but cultural differences go clear to the bone."

(You can add that to the growing list of my great quotes.) :D

Personally, I believe the term "racist", as it first came into being used, was about a person believing his "race" was superior to all other races. Today it is used, toward a white person who does not like another person of a different race, which is a corruption of the true meaning of the word, and now simply a way to legislate "special" laws, as IF, people of only certain races, have the libertry to not like someone of another race.
Be not OF the World, it's corrupt.

Modern racism would have confused the ancient Romans. To them, skin color was merely a matter of aesthetics. They paid more attention to the language you spoke, the gods you worshiped, the nation you fought for. If it those were all the same as theirs, you were one of them.

A Roman would not have understood a white man and a black man having been born in the same town, speaking the same language, going to the same school, fighting in the same military, worshiping the same God, eating the same foods...claiming to be of different ethnicities.

The Romans differentiated people based on whether they were slaves or not.

Why is racism bad? Different people are different (duh). Is it wrong to point that out?

Still trolling for racists I see. I'll tease you, but I won't bite. ;)

LOL it structures your day? Lol so you wake up immediatly hating a group of people ? That is a miserable life..it takes more time and energy to hate than it does to lead your best life. So who indoctrinated you? How many years ...and what happened to you?

Usually theres some trauma caused by the people you choose to hate.

I think he means that he will associate with whoever he wants to, which is usually people who look and think like he does. People of all 'races' structure their day the same way.
