When I was young, I used to think,
That water came from the kitchen sink.
But now I'm older, and I know,
That water comes from rain and snow.
It stays there, waiting in the sky,
In clouds above our world so high.

Western 'Burbs of Chicago:

Wet, cool but not cold. Showers with occasional thunder.

Last time I went to Waterloo, Iowa, I had to take Interstate 88/80/380 because the more direct route was too dangerous in the snowstorm. When I did it Monday, I had dry weather going out along US 20, it waited until I was trying to rest at the truck-stop before the skies unleashed a downpour. Rain is safer to drive through than snow, anyway.

I sympathize with you... we had an ice storm four years ago and it was awful! It sound like a war outside my house as limbs broke... when it was over, many people were without power for weeks and trees were all topped and lying everywhere! One limb was through my bathroom and holes in my roof made it look like swiss chees... the best part was the insurance refused to pay for damage caused by ice... wind, yes..ice no.

My sympathies also; we were crippled here in the Northeast for weeks after an ice storm 3-4 years ago

After have rain and a bit of thunder last night, today is breezy and cool (@ 45) with sun, clouds, and showers coming in later today.
