News Flash:

We have just had a [FOR US] very, very active thunderstorm overhead
Usually we have a flash and maybe a bang or two
but, in this one we have had 30 or, more ...WOW!!
...
I did not go offline though
If this is the way I was to go...I felt, then so be it !

We had rain, hailstones and torrential rain, in huge sheets
but it has moved away now wayyyyyyyyyyy!!!
Nature is 'amazing'
:)

Highs in the 90's F, sunny. Severe storms possible tonight followed by much cooler weather tomorrow.

Right now: 84 F and sunny.

Note: I haven't reported much on the weather elsewhere in my travels. No real point to it, it's been just as hot elsewhere as here. MissmsD could have given the weather happening in Sioux Falls, SD while reporting on her conditions in Schaumburg, IL because it's been one and the same the past few days. I know because I just came back from SD and I've been following the weather here--- .

90's :hot: humid....potential from severe weather/t-storms again tomorrow.
May the Lord have mercy on those still suffering from the recent tornadoes in our area... and across the nation :crossrc:

Amen! keep looking upwards for His outstretched hand

It is trying to be nice here and Saturday and Sunday were pretty nice Sunny and around 19 or 20 Celsius. between 64 F and 68 F. However it is cloudy today 64 F and yesterday we even had a few showers then sunny breaks. With all this rain the mousquito population is worse that I ever remember here.

66F, thunderstorms. We're having our high for the day right now, it gets into the 50s tonight. Right now, we have flood warnings for the Southern parts of DuPage and Cook Counties, as well as the counties West of here.

Strangely enough, West Chicago and Carol Stream are not included in the warning-- we are in the watch, though-- but DuPage County Airport, which is straight West of here, is in the warning-- go figure.

66F, the worst of the storms appear to have past.

I was wrong earlier about the warning. It turns out that there wasn't just one, there was no less than eight weather warnings, all of them concerning flash flooding. Anyplace within 100 miles West, stretching roughly from the Wisconsin/Illinois state line to maybe 20 miles South of Interstate 80 is under some kind of flood warning. Pitch the tent on high ground and start building a log raft. This stuff is headed for Indiana and points East now, so I reckon they're gonna get it too.
