I live in the Lightning Capital of the world and have been through many a thunderstorm, and a few hurricanes as well, but I have NEVER experienced so great a thunderstorm as the one in the wee hours of the morning. It shook the house as the wind blew strong and the lightning lit our room as a strobe light, so frequent the hits. Thunder boomed loudly constantly. We wondered if the rabbits hutch did not blow over in the storm, or if she had died of fright. Thankfully, she and the dog lived! The dog had maneuvered into the queerest place for refuge, though no safer there than where we had put her.
All is fairly peaceful, still a few drops coming down and a possibility of lightning and thunder for a short time yet.
The forecast is clear and 85 for today.
Yes, He watches over us! Hallelujah!I'm happy to hear that all are safe. I haven't been through a hurricane, and I won't if I have anything to say about it. I live in tornado alley and have been through countless awesome thunderstorms. I've also been near many tornadoes - almost in them. Things like this are a reminder of the awesome power God has locked up in His Creation and thanks that He watched over us.
