Yesterday the temperature range was 62F (17C) to 33F(1C). The weather was sunny with high clouds developing. It rained much of the day today. Yesterday along the New York State Thruway between Utica and Syracuse leaves were slightly past peak and near peak in the Syracuse metro area.

Overcast, rain and a high of 50 today in southern Ontario. Leaves are falling fast now and all the pretty colours of autumn are slowly fading away.

At Griffiss Station in Upstate New York on October 23 the high temperature was 80 F (27C). This broke the previous high temperature for that date which was 76F (24C) . Overnight temperatures were in the middle 60''s A cold front is coming through with rain expected as temperatures tumble through the upper 40's by late afternoon.

Remenants of Tropical Storm Zeta are moving through our area this afternoon with fairly heavy steady rain but no wind. Temperatures are around 46F. A dusting of snow expected by early morning as a cold front comes through. Temperatures tomorrow night are expected to drop to about 20F (-7C) which will probably be near the record low. Monday and Tuesday's high temperature is expected to be only in the mid thirties. The average high temperature this time of year is in the lower to middle fifties.

Chilly today at -1 , it is supposed to be nice tomorrow which is nice since will be moving my bulk of stuff into my new apartment. It's suppose to snow on Sunday, have to wait and see on that.

The "Son" is shining! The trees have put on their Fall apparel...shimmering gold, fiery red. Some are stubbornly holding on to their summer wardrobe. All this is happening beneath a beautiful blanket of blue! Praise the Lord!

It was nice and sunny but the wind was very chilly. Good day to move.

Supposed to get really windy tonight around 60 to 70 km/ hour and by tomorrow evening its supposed to jump to 90 km/hour.

Hopefully get the rest of the move done before it hits 90.

We had a hail storm yesterday, with the biggest hail I've seen since we moved here the better part of 30 years ago. We lost some roof tiles, so I've been up on the roof trying to do a temporary patch up job till we can get hold of the insurance company.

This is one of the hailstones.

Fortunately our solar panels seemed to come through unscathed, but the neighbours all seemed to have a dint or hole in theirs. We weren't so lucky with the roof tiles.

It was part of the same storm that caused heavier damage in another suburb not far away. Incidentally the other suburb is called Springfield (Lakes), but as far as I know Homer doesn't live there. It certainly doesn't have a nuclear power station.

Sunny with a high of 60 F is forecast here today which is much warmer than normal for this time of year. The weather guy said these higher temps should last for another week which makes me as I'm not a big fan of the colder weather.

We have a high of 75F 23C today; almost want to turn on the AC;
then it's going to drop off a cliff for the next week; with cold and rain; I like the rain but not so much the cold.
