Significant snowfall continues today into Wednesday. Additional snowfall amounts of 10 to 15 cm are possible today through Wednesday morning. An additional 20 to 30 cm will be possible for higher terrain. Strong northerly winds gusting near 70 km/h are possible today, particularly near Georgian Bay. This snowfall is a result of a strengthening low pressure system expected to move through eastern Ontario into Quebec today into Wednesday. Precipitation associated with this low pressure system is expected to move east of the area by Wednesday afternoon.
I hope you are surviving the snow and the winds Gidgx. Is that normal weather for this time of year?

A massive storm moved up the Atlantic coast of the United States. In the Utica area in the western Mohawk Valley of New York State I estimate that around 12 inches of snow fell from late Wednesday to late Thursday (Dec 17) morning. Temperatures have been in the twenties. In Bingamton NY, near the Pennsylvania state line, nearly 40 inches (102 cm) of snow fell, the most ever recorded for a single storm at that location. 35 inches fell at Saratoga Springs, 10.5 inches at Central Park in New York City.

Just the usual in the UK, where I live sunshine one day and cloudy the next. No snow unless you live in Scotland.

Temps. in the 40's and 50's this week; Christmas Eve to get colder, snow possible and into Christmas Day, temp. in 20's.
I live in Australia and forgot you use Fahrenheit not Celsius as we do so I gasped a bit at "40's and 50's" ... today we are expecting 40C (104F) with Christmas day forecast to be in the high 30's C. It's funny but our radio stations still play play "White Christmas" and that one with "dashing through the snow". Have a blessed Christmas.
