No, they don't. Not so as I've noticed. Wish they did, frankly. We had some decent breezes happening last week - lovely. Then this week, with the heat, not a breath of wind.

I thought that those winds would be welcome in summer, for you!

Today has been more bearable and this afternoon a nice little breeze sprang up to help things stay cooler.

it was -45 wind chill when I woke up in Chicago yesterday. Home today and low is -15. Springtime! Gonna be in the 40s this weekend. Crazy.

Those wind chills are brutal here, too. But this warm weather that's coming is CRAZY. It's -8F now. On Monday, it's supposed to be 54F and raining.

Glad that it's warming up for you all, but praying the the snow melt doesn't produce flooding.

In the UK some parts have had heavy snow (though nothing like the Arctic Blast). We've not had any more, and most of it has melted. Freezing tonight though, but a wonderful display of stars in a clear sky.

I don't worry about flooding in my neighborhood, but our Kroger store was closed for about a year when it flooded one year. And there are poor people living near the river. But that flood was very, very rare. I wonder how people are doing in the eastern U. S.

Woke up this morning to a surprise out our window; snow! The first snow to reach the valley floor here in the Eugene area; it looks like a winter wonderland!

Yesterday there was a flock of robins next door eating berries. That was the first time I ever saw robins in a flock! And I don't recall seeing any in February.

Today the high was 55F; tomorrow the high will be 17F!
