I've been on them for years. Salt is my #1 enemy. Eating salad is fine, but yummy Ranch dressing has a LOT of salt. Read the ingredients on food you buy. The tastiest ones have salt. Salt just makes everything taste better I've been on meds for at least 13 years.

Thank you so much!!! I almost died in October. I was in dire shape and hospitalized. I'm so grateful for your prayers.

You were missed, and I'm so very glad you survived the ordeal.


Apparently, it wasn't your time to go 'home' in October ...
so maybe it is that God has more for you yet to do here for Him? That would be my thought ...

I've outlived 2 sisters and possibly a third one. I only know that the Lord is my source of hope and strength and sharing that with others might help someone who is discouraged. I hope I can encourage at least one person. Life may not be easy but faith in God means you are not alone!

That's the problem with salt and our bodies. It's in everything and therefore it's something we've become addicted to. I don't add salt to anything and I try to stay away from foods that have it added. That's difficult when you're shopping for groceries! I stick to fresh veggies or frozen, canned are full of salt. Just about anything canned is full of salt. Same way with sugar. Bread recipes all call for salt and sugar. I leave both out when I bake bread. Fresh fruit and veggies taste wonderful. Manufacturers of food add so much that we don't need, just to get people addicted.
I could rant but I won't.

I HATE taking pills! My doctor insists that I take several.

Check between the chair or couch cushions. Or if you're like me you might have carried it to another room and set it down.

Remember the days before remotes?!
There are times I think living in a cave might not be such a bad idea.

I gave up looking for it and there it was in pharmacy bag by my recliner! I had been reaching inside the recliner, looking underneath it, as a last resort I thought I'd look in thr dining room. Then I said, "Forget it" That always works! I walked back to the recliner and asked myself what was that black thing in the pharmacy bag. It had fallen in there!

Phone isn't working, can't pay bills I usually pay by phone, etc.

My godly neighbors helped me! My phone service is restored. I couldn't call the phone company because I had only one phone.

but I definitely agree with what you said.
I am sure I've never prayed more, than now that I am a senior adult.

I went in the hospital mid-October, then went to a nursing home afterwards, then to my daughter's for a couple of weeks, finally insisted on coming home, tripped on my cane and my leg got infected, that took a couple of weeks to heal, etc. Anyhoo, things are difficult.

Bored with TV, I started watching Untold Stories of the ER. I shut off the TV this morning! I can watch all kinds of medical problems, but today's show was about a man who got his leg in a stump grinder! That's the worst thing I've ever seen!! I decided to skip the outcome!

I can't do yardwork anymore and because of my neighbor's large maple tree there are a million maple seeds on my porch, driveway, flowerbeds, in my Alberta spruce, everywhere! Argh! Strong winds blew my rose arbor down! We put that up about tweny years ago. Other than that everything is hunky dory!

Are you sure you should be alone? I’m sorry that’s a lot to go through again. A care giver would be so handy. I think you talked about it. Thats about 8 months ago! Long time to be under the weather having a hard time. Woo wee.
well you sound strong. You could sell your house and go to assisted living on the coast somewhere. They make it nice. Room, board, cleaning, nice people. Good meals. Any where in the country you like? My mom and dad were managers of a couple places in holiday retirement corporation. Comfortable.
