I didn’t look it up. It was included in a video that mentioned the problem. That’s the first time I heard it. The second occasion was a different channel. It wasn’t one I follow but they showed the feed and someone mentioned it was BegTok. I guess that’s the term you have to search to see it. I’ve seen similar titles on channels catering to men but I won’t post them. Their content can be questionable and the comments are brutal.

But since you asked I looked up ‘women begging for money’ on your behalf on YouTube. Chrissy Comments is probably the least controversial but there will be colorful language and she included clips as well. You can look up BegTok on YouTube too.
I've seen people on facebook, posting stuff like: "I need to pay x amount of money for past due fees to my lawyer, plus x amount of dollars for court fees in x amount of days/hours or they won't represent me in the custody battle. I do not want to lose my daughter!"

Had? It just started like 30 minutes ago. ^_^

Oops. I assumed had just about finished based on the timing of those greetings. Stupid time zones...

It’s hard for me to have sympathy w/ some struggling with money. They can have out-of-control spending habits on entertainment. Historically people have taught against the dangers of spending habits on drugs, but the problem extends beyond illegal drugs. Those who struggle financially aren’t living frugal, they’re the biggest spenders, & it’s not just to meet their physical needs but to have a good time. I don’t’ mean to preach a Prosperity Gospel, but they tend not to care for the Lord either. A lot of them aren't working & don't care to, they just blame it on everything but them. & they think if they're not a top manager making $100K/year working their dream job b/c 'folllow your dreams' it's not worth working. They just think they can have those jobs right off the bat. Okay, that's my rant. I was exposed to some of this thinking this past weekend & it makes me sad they just can't see it

It’s hard for me to have sympathy w/ some struggling with money.

Everyone struggling financially isn‘t living above their means or over-consuming. Americans have been living check to check for years. We were subject to price gouges during the pandemic and a lot of low wage workers weren’t at home or getting stimulus checks. We’ve had several hiccups since that period. Gas increases, inflation, higher prices, layoffs and more.

There was time when you didn’t see Aldi hauls on the internet and the majority weren’t going to Walmart for food. They shopped at the big name stores in their area but they can’t afford them now. You didn’t see content on $50 meals for the week or depression era cooking. This is the new normal.

We went to Costco today and my bill was $600 for one cart. Only $60 of that total was meat for canning. The rest was pantry and household goods and I didn’t buy alcohol. That’s in addition to what I spent on my bulk order yesterday and we’re saving money.

Are there people living recklessly? Of course. Are there people who prefer to be taken care of? Yes. But many are juggling multiple jobs just to keep their head above water. Most people don’t have a month‘s worth of savings let alone six. Nor could they be out of work for long without consequences. Property taxes are up as are utilities and rents have increased.

A lot of them aren't working & don't care to, they just blame it on everything but them. & they think if they're not a top manager making $100K/year working their dream job b/c 'folllow your dreams' it's not worth working. They just think they can have those jobs right off the bat.

Most of that is timing or who you know. It makes a huge difference in your opportunities and offers. But overall, money follows mastery. The more you know about a topic the more you can command if you leverage it properly. Where the majority go wrong is trying to get it through an employer. They can only pay so much at specific tiers and the percentages are well defined. Ideally, you’re using the job to fund your dream or increase your proficiency in the subject until you reach the point where you can package it and sell it and set your own price.

The key to wealth acquisition is speed. The quicker you reach that point the sooner you’re out of the rat race and the more you’ll earn in the long run. They’re not totally wrong and it depends on your circumstances. If you have little to no debt and live at home and your parents support you then taking a risk is understandable. But if that isn’t the case then a different course is best.

If you remember, there was a Baptist church I attended years ago but quit because they refused to allow a Singles group. Their excuse was they "had better things to focus on".

I have heard from a reputable person that still attends that church that they are allowing Muslims to congregate there for Islam worship.
