In my prayers last night I asked God, if it aligns with His will, to grant me rest and offer me guidance towards achieving something through my dreams. I asked that he let me remember what I needed to. Often, my work leaves me exhausted due to sleep deprivation, and I rarely remember my dreams. This can be good due to my struggle with Night Terrors, but it also means that I'm not resting enough to get to a dream state.

Then, I had a somewhat subdued nightmare, unlike the usual terrifying ones. This nightmare highlighted two areas in my life that require my attention, sources of extreme anxiety and stress that I can actually change, which will aid in achieving my goals. Normally, nightmares leave me fearful upon waking, but this time, as the dream concluded (I won't delve into the details, as I know most people aren't interested in dream narratives), I approached someone and essentially asked, "Will everything be alright?" I was afraid at that point, because in reality, I know what the outcome would have been. They responded with a reassuring smile, saying, "Yes, absolutely. Don't worry." In that moment, I felt an overwhelming sense of relief, and then I woke up.

Surprisingly, it was 10 minutes before my alarm, and I wasn't frightened or tired. It was the most restful sleep I've had in about two months, and I woke up full of energy and joy. I've identified two critical issues in my life that require my attention, and I'm having the best morning at work.

I don't believe God gave me a nightmare, but rather, I believe He allowed me to rest and remember it so that I could learn from it, then transformed my anxiety and fear into pure relief. I feel incredibly blessed, and I've been expressing my gratitude to Him for the past two hours.

:full:

God is good, Amen.

I'm not too happy. I got a 60% on my Old Testament Survey 3 quiz about Ezekiel and Daniel.
Keeping you in prayer. I know you are going to do wonderful things! :)

My thanks to those who heart-rated my last post. I can rest now for 70 hours before going back for six days straight, so I'll be okay after hopefully a lengthy and undisturbed sleep tonight. And I worked alongside a pretty girl today, so it wasn't all that bad. ^-^

Also, Miss @Plenipotent , I wanted to just say that I always find your extended use of the :full: onionhead since you joined this little community to be refreshing. ^_^

Long and rather rough day at work .... :puff:

I'm sorry you had to deal with that. At least now you can rest some. I hope tomorrow goes better for you.

I hope tomorrow goes better for you.

It will be Saturday night in my particular case, since I work a rotating shift schedule, but thanks, man. *salutes*

If you want to talk about your long day,

Basically, just a few blunders made, and it was an exhausting amount of work today (thankfully not every day at the lab is like this one today was), but, you know, I hung in there.
Been doing this for 15 years, after all; even I know not to expect a perfect track record when I have literally 1000 tasks to do that can be a misstep in some way. ^_^ Thankfully this is the kind of lab environment where 90% of blunders made can be recognized and fixed within minutes or seconds by myself, and there's no trouble from supervision for it, even if they happened to see it in some cases.

I thank you for your offer to listen, Miss Pleni. *bows*

Don't give up, which can be tempting. I've been there. Everything you put out there seems to die. But then one glorious day you'll have a job and a whole other set of things to worry over. :)

I'm considering re-entering the world of investing once I've established my new routine. It's something I wish I had continued in my early 20s, but back then, I made a decent amount of money and then decided to cash out completely because I was a FOOL, incurring a massive percentage loss and thinking it was fine because I was 'just doing it for fun anyway'.

It wasn't the wisest move, but I simply lost interest in it at the time. I'm not thrilled about the idea of having to reacquaint myself with the "updated system" after essentially just playing around with it before, but I'm thinking about starting small with fractional shares and taking a cautious approach... Just dip my tootsies in...

I shall continue to pray for your success!!!

I wish you quick success in this. I can't imagine this to be ever be a facet of life that anyone takes serious enjoyment in going through.

.... That's probably the very reason I never actually follow through no matter how often I might have days so discouraging at work in some way that I just want to quit on the spot: ...... I don't want to endure the ordeal of finding another. I remember how awkward it was just to find the easy part-time job that I had as my very first in high school: the deli/gift shop in downtown El Dorado that used to be La Bella.

The serenity prayer comes to mind. I hope you don't find yourself stressed out!

I love the serenity prayer and say it to myself quite often in fact and yes I am stressed out but I also know that at the end of the day it will eventually all work out.
