I've been feeling like I'm letting God down again. I should be doing more. I have the passion for it.
I guess I'm not a real man.

You know.. us foul mouthed men have feelings too. :(
You're right, you're not. Grow up. It's your choice.

As far as swearing regarding names called to women.. some women just have a masochistic side. Really depends on the man. I know some men who use such language all the time but deep down are thoughtful and caring people.. other men not so much.
They need to prove it w/ their language, work on it at least, otherwise no, they are not thoughtful & caring, they are living a double-life. They are probably just being 'thoughtful & caring' b/c it benefits them. It's an act that makes them feel good about themselves, b/c 'it makes them popular' or 'b/c it's family', it's not genuine.

Sometimes, tho, you're right: it is just something they learned, like a bad habit, & they can't break it. But why don't they want to get better, I wonder......
They're told it's not a problem, they're already 'thoughtful & caring' so who cares.....BUT that's not the same as foul language! & they KNOW it's foul language b/c if you call them out on it, they agree it's foul! & more often then not, they're the ones who bring it up, they wonder where your foul language is. It's like 'why did you notice I don't have foul language, there's a lot of other words I haven't used, why did my lack of foul language stand out to you?'

So... growing up to you means someone needs to view others on a less deep level?

I don't know what to tell you. Admittedly I'm not the nicest guy in the world... but I have a decent theory of mind. I wouldn't feel very good lying to myself regarding how I view the inner workings of other people... and instead opt to view them with a superficial lens.

In my case though.. swearing doesn't really mean anything to me anymore. It felt cool and powerful when I was younger.. now it's really just words. I was born with a language disability.. so my vocabulary and ability to structure sentences isn't the greatest... so I do find these words somewhat helpful. Despite me, I have read there was a study done that found those who swear constantly tend to have higher vocabularies on average.

I'm sure you don't like Gilbert Gottfried.. but a few years ago before he died they made a documentary about his life.. in one part of the documentary, he's talking to his wife, and they say some heavy endearing cure words to each other. It was honestly literally one of the sweetest displays of genuine love I've ever seen.

So, the 17th of this month, marks TEN years since making my CF account. And I had every intention of leaving the forum on that day (something I had planned two, maybe even three years ago) but I feel that at this time in my life, with the amount of dating/life experience I have, that I actually have a lot to bring to the forum - Singles specifically . Probably more now than at any other period of my life if the recent threads are anything to go by.

So, I plan on staying a little bit longer. At least until my presence becomes redundant.

I think people are a little too attached to their phones. Lil' bit...

Yes. People always gotta be on their phone no matter what. At work, driving, at home, on the toilet...

What did you make? And did you save me some?
Uhhhm... I made some pesto chicken with spinach and artichokes, honey-glazed carrots, green beans, this cheesy mushroom thingy, I dunno what it's called I just did it, and then this tomato that I dipped in this panko I made and thought 'wonder what this'll be like'. And yes, there's more than enough for you, probably enough for the next five days, because I'm incapable of cooking for just myself so I end up eating leftovers for days. :tearsofjoy: This dish has no name, I call it... Dinner.
