Feeling sick of being stuck in the same sin over and over and over again. I hope I'm not disappointing God.

Too ashamed to pray right now or show my face to God.
Beloved, is it not for this that our Lord died? He is not far off and knows very well our human frailty and weakness. Consider this passage from Jeremiah's Lamentations in light of your present afflictions and suffering under the weight of sin. Rejoice in the Lord and await the vindication of His holy one, the one in whom He delights!

I am the man who has seen affliction
under the rod of his wrath;
he has driven and brought me
into darkness without any light;
surely against me he turns his hand
again and again the whole day long.

He has made my flesh and my skin waste away,
and broken my bones;
he has besieged and enveloped me
with bitterness and tribulation;
he has made me dwell in darkness
like the dead of long ago.

He has walled me about so that I cannot escape;
he has put heavy chains on me;
though I call and cry for help,
he shuts out my prayer;
he has blocked my ways with hewn stones,
he has made my paths crooked.

He is to me like a bear lying in wait,
like a lion in hiding;
he led me off my way and tore me to pieces;
he has made me desolate;
he bent his bow and set me
as a mark for his arrow.

He drove into my heart
the arrows of his quiver;
I have become the laughingstock of all peoples,
the burden of their songs all day long.
He has filled me with bitterness,
he has sated me with wormwood.

He has made my teeth grind on gravel,
and made me cower in ashes;
my soul is bereft of peace,
I have forgotten what happiness is;
so I say, “Gone is my glory,
and my expectation from the Lord.”

Remember my affliction and my bitterness,
the wormwood and the gall!
My soul continually thinks of it
and is bowed down within me.
But this I call to mind,
and therefore I have hope:

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
his mercies never come to an end;
they are new every morning;
great is thy faithfulness.
“The Lord is my portion,” says my soul,
“therefore I will hope in him.”

The Lord is good to those who wait for him,
to the soul that seeks him.
It is good that one should wait quietly
for the salvation of the Lord.
It is good for a man that he bear
the yoke in his youth.

Here's a controversial opinion I have:
If you're not married, it's not cheating.

If you're not married, there's no commitment. The relationship is sacred only in marriage. If you're not married, it's no different then being promiscuous. The person doing the cheating is no different then any prior partner outside of marriage.

Should you do it? No, & that's the point.

I hope whoever reads this understands what I'm trying to say.

I'd be curious to know what that sin would be.
lust/sexual sins. I repented and know I am forgiven. I won't go into much detail because that would violate TOS. (i think)

Prayers are appreciated

Thank you! I will PM you when I have the chance! I appreciate you reaching out. That means a lot.

Obviously, I would not go into any details publicly on any forum. That's too personal ;-) (And no, I would not go into much detail with anyone other than the very few I know personally and am comfortable with in person. :) )

I agree to a certain extent. I think when someone is very serious (considering engagement), it can be considered cheating. Other than that, I think you are spot on.

@bèllaNo one knows what tomorrow holds. It's prudent to think ahead. I still have some buying to do.

True. We’re wrapping things up and getting the items we put on hold. More shortages are expected.

Everything they can track and spy is something they like. Control is a big part of it all too.

I’m cautious about the things I bring in my home and avoid smart objects. I’m not oblivious to their features or monitoring abilities.

They talk about it once in while but, people are still against complete discardment. Wich is a good thing.

They’re working together to establish the new order. You can see it taking shape.

I saw an article I wanted to pass on. Do you know what it is and what they’re doing?

I have FOMO when it comes to my comics though. They have been such a big part of my life and there are comics I have not read yet, that I want to read. Even though reading comics is a worldy thing and deep down meaningless. They still have sentimental value and a grip on me because of it

You don’t have to set aside comics. You can read them with the truth in mind. Pay attention to the themes and look for correlations today. Oftentimes they communicate through those mediums (tv, radio, movies, etc.)

I am going to find fellowship. I will limit my hobbies. I have dresser with 5 small drawers. I will limit my BDs to those 5 drawers for starters. Comics take up more space so that will bea bit harder.

Connecting with others will do wonders for your esteem and confidence. You’ll deepen your communication skills and spend less time in your head. Journaling would be an great practice. Tell your story through daily musings.

I have something in mind. More lemonade. What you’ve experienced may benefit others and you can be a resource for those with similar challenges. As you overcome they’ll yearn to know how.

As for hobbies, invest in the ones which bring you nearer to your goal of self-sufficiency. With room for downtime and fun. You can monetize anything if you’re shrewd. Look at them with that in mind.

I have actually begun on that already. I prayed to God I fear if mystery woman will come back, I will cave and go back to being weak and pine.Phillipans 4:6 came to mind.

The hold will lessen in time. You’ll be tested spiritually by the evil one to determine if the hook is valid or useless. Pray against the fear and intrusions. You’re looking for a godly woman who knows the Lord and walks with Him. Start praying for her. I did the same for years and trusted the Lord directed them where they belonged. Commending that to Him kept me centered. I wasn’t beset with the marriage frenzy. I prayed it away.

About not being anxious about anything and pray about everything. I would love to come to the point where I won't be swayed or deceived by pretenders.

Pray for wisdom continually. I began doing it as a child. That’s all I asked for. I wanted to be wise. I read the wisdom books often. In the standard bible and apocrypha. There was something about them that resonated.

When it comes to mystery woman, He never responded, not in the ways I would have liked. You would think I would taken that as a big fat no at some point.

You wanted more and weren’t in a place to discern. Your mind was elsewhere. Now you’re on His frequency and grappling with the realities of surrender. Your decrease amplifies His presence.

Before I joined this forum I was so secular it would not have mattered if she was an atheist. Now I know I would never be able to live with someone who isn't a Christian.

I’m at a point where God-free relationships are unappealing. I want to connect with believers who are truly dialed in. They’re praying, fasting, and saturating their mind with the word. It’s encouraging and a well of strength you can draw on when you’re in need and provide the same.

I know my prayers and talks with God are very one sided. I can go on and on about my own qualms, needs and wants. I will do that.

Mine were too. But it changed with time and maturity.

I think it sounds very exciting. I will try it your way.

It is. You’ll get a lot of rhema. Tell Him everything and let Him guide you.

Cheating violates the principle of loving our neighbors as ourselves. Deception isn’t loving.

Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who act faithfully are his delight.

There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him: haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, a false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.

No one who practices deceit shall dwell in my house; no one who utters lies shall continue before my eyes.

Truthful lips endure forever, but a lying tongue is but for a moment.

Do not lie to one another, seeing that you have put off the old self with its practices and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge after the image of its creator.

“You shall not steal; you shall not deal falsely; you shall not lie to one another.

A lying tongue hates its victims, and a flattering mouth works ruin.

Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

Well, if you finally end up dating a girl, and you find that she starts porking someone else when you're seeing her, that will be the test of how tenable this is.

Of course you are forgiven, Riley. You are not alone in sins that one might naturally find embarrassing, like sexual sins. :angel:
