That reminds me, one of my first crushes as a child was on a red-headed, freckle-faced girl. I remember once trying to be cool in front of everyone by addressing her as "my sweet little cherryblossom". The so-called endearing term stuck with everybody at school for a few weeks. Had this taken place a decade past the late 90's, it would have been called the new school meme.

Sorry, just ... 14 year-old logic when dealing with a girl he likes, you know? No one ever knows what they're doing or saying at that age and in that social situation.
