I wonder why this world doesn't really seem to care about God. I wish everyone cared. Maybe He would return if everyone cared. I wish He would come back.

The generation before the boomers were incredibly tyrannical with it. So the boomers were naturally blase and rebellious and passed it on to the rest of us.

The result, indifference. Literally no one takes me seriously when I talk about Christianity.

Some of the comments on beauty gave me pause. I see beauty everywhere in the simple and ornate. Minimizing God’s handiwork is strange.

I don’t believe in diminishing physical attractiveness. God fashions some that way for a reason. It may involve a work—like Esther—that requires aesthetic appeal to undertake. The necessity for access that can’t be attained otherwise. Or favor with persons in authority.

There are echelons you can’t enter. People you’ll never get in front of without certain criteria. Be it looks, talent, success, or wealth. He dispenses His light in all regions. Not solely the lowly or downtrodden.

Beauty is a form of service. As is intelligence, gifting, and prowess. Everyone has a place and purpose.

Yesterday was not difficult after all. I hardly thought about that website at all since I had things to do. God must have helped.

I'm developing a new plushie pattern which I'd like to post in my blog as a free pattern once it's ready. It's a bee! Right now I'm sewing a plushie to test the pattern, then I'll make any necessary changes and make another one!

After a difficult week I’m happy to report the Lord’s movement. I’ve spent a lot in time in prayer and although my discomfort remains, spiritually, i’m in a good place.

I appreciate the prayers and kind words. I’d like to give you something in return. Whatever you’re seeking in the Lord, don’t stop. There may be impediments hindering your movements. But nothing God ordains can be thwarted.

For those desiring to marry, stand against the negative and demonic elements in your way. Don’t assume it’s simply lack of opportunity, personal issues, or other factors alone. Pray against all assignments impeding your union and success. Pray against your stumbling blocks and pray in their remedy.

Do this once per month. Pray for your spouse everyday. Cover them from head to toe. Address their character, faith, work, struggles, friends, family, etc. Get used to exercising your prayer muscles. You’ll need them a lot later on.

The battle doesn’t begin when you find someone. You’re undergoing it now. Stand against negative thoughts and emotions that ensnare and promote fear or sadness. Affirm His fruit constantly. Use I am statements: I am love, peace, joy, and so on.

Tell the Lord you’re ready for your promised land. Ask Him to lead you there and strip away anything that would keep you in the wilderness. Then stand.

If you're referring to what I think you are referring to, then yes, I agree. It gave me more than pause. I was tempted to come in with the comment that it almost sounded like the fellow in question is so against physical beauty that, to him, any woman who is attractive to many a man must immediately be some sort of shallow, deceptive creature with only evil and ungodliness in her heart.

Basically he seemed to believe in the extreme reverse of the trope in so much fiction that we call beauty = good and ugly = evil, where now it is instantly beauty = ugly at heart, and less physically attractive = must be serving the Lord well.

If you're referring to what I think you are referring to, then yes, I agree. It gave me more than pause. I was tempted to come in with the comment that it almost sounded like the fellow in question is so against physical beauty that, to him, any woman who is attractive to many a man must immediately be some sort of shallow, deceptive creature with only evil and ungodliness in her heart.

You summed it up perfectly. Unfortunately, I've seen this before on the other side. I understand it's a sensitive topic. But I don't believe in admonishing anyone for things they like. We have different interests and attractions. Just because you don't find something appealing doesn't mean it's bad or wrong. You have different tastes.

It comes eerily close to shaming. That isn't God's intention. Nor is everyone beautiful diabolical and less so paragons of virtue. We're sinners saved by grace.

I actually wanted to find a free pattern on the internet, but none of them appealed to me. So I made an attempt at my own pattern instead. Yes, the plushie I'm making now is basically a test. I think it shouldn't need too many changes, but of course it takes several tries to get the pattern just right.

And Lord have mercy upon the man who dares to disrespect my crush as a deceitfully charming (therefore implying ungodliness in this case) woman who is rejected in so many Proverbs passages just because she is considered physically attractive by many.

She is beautiful on the outside to me because I saw beauty within, in her mannerisms and personality. Thus as of now, to me a pale and bright-eyed face with wavy brunette hair and a small amount of freckles is the most attractive face in the world. It is charming, yes, but certainly through no wrongdoing of her own.
