I might have found some answers to the teeth problems I've been having since March. Today was my second dental cleaning for the year. The dentist said, it's possible that it is TMJ that maybe causing the pain or inflammation or pressure I feel when eating. Also the uneven bite, I thought a tooth was going to have to be ground down but laying in a certain position I didn't feel it. I'm supposed to use some ibuprofen for a short time to bring down swelling, eat softer foods, he's adjusted my night mouth guard, hot compresses on the TMJ and reduce my stress. I think this will also explain why I've had so many headaches this year. I hardly ever get headaches. The only thing I can think that is causing unusual stress maybe is covid-19.
I hate to think that my training would be causing some of it too. My training has a lot of fun to it, but there are times that I have to work myself up for it. And pushing myself harder mentally when I don't think I can do four more miles. Next Saturday will be my biggest push but that will be the last longest run for the year.
I really hope this works. I have been so down about not being able to eat normally without pain. Otherwise the dental hygienist said my teeth were perfect maybe five or six times and the dentist also. So it's good to know since March that no damage was done. I'm just putting this here because it was a prayer request I put out quite some time ago to my Bible study and was just losing hope. I had been referred to a specialist but insurance does not cover TMJ. And I don't have $700 just to do for test and who knows how much for the solution. Anyways this seemed kind of long-winded but it's sort of a praise for possible progress with something I've just been dealing with all these months.
