What a joke. It's ridiculous when washed up bands try to milk people by making "greatest hits" albums when in reality all they might've had were 3 or 4 hits throughout the entire careers in the first place.

I wanted to get some birkenstock sandals for my travel, always wanted to try a pair of them, but I'm not sure if they'll survive daily in 46-50C (114.8-122f) degrees, as heat exposure damages them. I've asked them officially, so let's see their advice.

There's a movie in theaters right now called, The Kid Who Would Be King. It's based off of King Arthur and the Knights of the Round table set in a modern setting. Just saw it in theaters and I think it might be something you would enjoy.

I don't know if it would speak to me personally; I prefer to think of myself as more fitting of the stature of a prince than a king.

Yeah, just a bit I'm heading off to the Middle East for a few months, God willing. Yeah, birkenstocks are made from cork, so that's why I wondered, but they said they should be fine as long as they're not left out constantly in high heat to sit there. But not sure if I want to spend that much on a pair of sandals lol. Definitely don't want some synthetics though, some sandals if plastic base are known to melt.

Well, shoot, I need one for when a fair maiden or other innocent calls upon Sarah's Knight to come to the rescue from the hate-filled clutches of Darkness. So really, I just need to find a way to create a backlit shadow version of this. =P

Also, just tried making my first meal from Blue Apron last night. 'Could have gone worse. I only cut myself once with the chef's knife. And it was quite tasty. ... But enough of a meal for twenty dollars? Not sure. If I do this every week, it could be too expensive.

Oh well, might as well use what I have left. The second meal shall be prepared now. Something called Greek-style feta burgers.

My adorable Pikachu plush is complete!

Yes, this is my 17th Pikachu plush in all, but I don't mind...I'm a Pikachu collector.

Spoiler: Random Details

I did not create the pattern, I bought it a little while back. My mom tied the bow and I did everything else.

Pikachu is about 12 inches (30 1/2 cm) tall and made from minky with plastic eyes and nose. She has a hand-embroidered mouth and eyelashes and hand-sewn fingers and toes. Her cheeks are plastic eyes covered with minky, the white spots on her eyes were painted on with acrylic paint, and she wears a bow of pink ribbon with a fake white rose attached. She has a fleece lining in her tail and is stuffed with polyester fiberfill.

I made a few slight changes to the pattern, which is based on the old-school Pikachu plushies from the 90's. I traced the original tail pattern and also made the tail pattern for a female Pikachu. The pattern had the hand and arm as two separate pieces, but I didn't think that was necessary so I combined them into one piece. The instructions said to use buttons for the eyes and cheeks and embroider the nose, but I like plastic ones better. They said to tack the tail to the body, but I didn't do that so Pikachu could wag her tail. I didn't have any interfacing for the tail so I used fleece instead.
