a coworker of mine was surprised to see me today at work, i usually work fridays, sat and sun. She asked me why I'm having some thurs shifts, I told her that I wanted to be able to go to friday bible study, she was like, "you believe in that mumbo jumbo?" Lol I paused a bit and was like "yes...." I wanted to say more but had to clock in. I'm glad she knows where I stand though. I just pray I'll be able to present the gospel flawlessy when the time comes.

That wasn't a very nice thing for her to say to a Christian or a term to describe the Bible with. I'll pray that she comes to the truth of Christ and that you do well!

If she doesn't believe yet, though, Miss Multi, of course something like the words in the Bible is going to appear so foreign to her. For an unbeliever, she could say a lot more insulting things than just calling it mumbo jumbo.

But I have already prayed for you, Miss S&S, that you can say the right, wise, and compassionate words to help lead your friend to Christ, when the opportunity arises. Of course, it is ultimately up to the Spirit. :)

I think the best way to share the gospel in situations like that is to just let others know where we stand, and to remain committed to what we believe, as you did. A Christian who remains faithful to their beliefs over time, especially when dealing with mockers and trials, is a very powerful testimony. Eventually, the mockers and scoffers may face a situation in which they'll be looking for answers, and may even turn to us to hear more about our faith. So I thought you handled that well.

Thanks all for the encouragements. Yeah, been praying for that coworker of mine, I really care about her, she is a good person, very blunt at times, but that's her personality. Lol I suck actually at sharing the gospel, well, more so to atheists. It's easier to share to people who have a concept of a deity. But with atheist the here and now is all that matters to them. And it is difficult to share to a person who is self righteous, because unless a person realizes that they have sinned against God, it is hard to explain what Jesus did, they'll just think he is a loony who died for no reason. But quite true about standing for your beliefs, i have a close athiest friend, interestingly, he asks me for advice at times, one time he was uncertain whether to date someone from a cultish christian sect, and it kinda surprised me why he would ask me what I think about it and whether their beliefs were Christian or not. In my head, I'm like..."But you don't even believe in God, the rule of not being unequally yoke doesn't apply to you for now." I soooo wanted to say my thoughts. But I just kind of showed him the differences in teachings and such, and what to look out for, red flags...when I listen to him, i just sense the emptiness he is feeling, but God has been reaching out to him, multiple times, hahaha like through me, and some of his friends, even a roommate who invited him to church, to which he went couple of times. Then he would tell me how the preaching went, and ask me questions. Many times very deep theological questions, lol which is a struggle for me because unless the spirit is renewed it's difficult to grasp many of the spiritual concepts. But yeah, prayer is powerful, never give up on praying for the people you care about, because God is always on the move and He prepares the way, everyone has a part in the Kingdom, some plant, some water, and some reap.

How Millennials Killed Mayonnaise

Look it up on Google. Had to remove the article and link because of foul language I missed.

*Looks at mods*

I guess we'll be known as the serial killer generation.

meanwhile in japan....:tearsofjoy:

Mayonnaise super fans rejoice! Two new cafés dedicated specifically to the creamy condiment are opening in Japan this March and April for a limited time only.

The cafés will be open for one month beginning in March and April. Image by Kewpie
The two temporary attractions are being opened by Kewpie mayonnaise, a company that launched Japan’s much loved and first ever mayonnaise brand in 1925. One of the cafés will be located in the popular area of Shibuya in Tokyo, just a 10-minute walk away from Shibuya station and will be open from March 1st to 31st, while the other one will be opening in Nagoya in central Honshu from April 3rd to 30th. March 1st is Mayonnaise Day in Japan, and last year also saw the brand hosting celebrations with a variety of special dishes at mayonnaise cafés.

The Tokyo location will serve lunch and dinner, with seating for 126 people, including 24 outdoor terrace seats available. Dishes served at the café will include pizza, a variety of salads, tempura with mayo dipping sauces, prawn pasta and a chicken mayo bake.

2014 saw Kewpie unveiling the Mayo Terrace, a permanent dedicated museum space in Chofu, a suburb of Tokyo. The space allows visitors to learn about the history of the product, and includes a room called the Mayo Dome, a gigantic replica of a mayonnaise bottle built 500,000 larger than a regular one. The Mayo Terrace has proven to be a popular attraction for Kewpie fans, who can also snack on a range of special dishes in the Kewpie Kitchen on site. More information on visiting the new Kewpie cafés in Tokyo and Nagoya is available at their official website.

When playing the original Diablo game during my teen years and playing a male warrior fighting and killing succubi (and both of us taking heavy damage), my mother walked into my computer room thinking I was watching porn.

Hah!

I don't even like mayonnaise... :eheh:

Ketchup, mustard, mayo .... None of them are really any good, honestly.

.... Ketchup is just flat-out nauseatingly bad.

I agree, I don't really like condiments/sauces in general...unless it's pizza sauce on a pizza. :p
