Although I admit, the ridiculous quirkiness of the heroine in question as she tried to BS her way through being a believer to land the guy did keep me awake. It's just that this was one of those movies where I wonder why it even needs to exist. And it was almost like a parody of a feel-good Christian-based movie about one person's journey to becoming a believer, rather than being serious about its intended message. Remember when she tried to pray on her first date? I was like, do the makers of this film actually think believers in Christ are this stupid or oblivious? Where the guy couldn't even spot a faker for that long even as he dates her?

Eh, whatever makes movie goers happy. If they find it to be a nice little feel-good romance film, then more power to them. I can at least say I don't take outright offense at the seeming sentiments of Christian Mingle, like I do The Notebook or ... just about every Christmas-themed romance movie out there.

Lol, yeah that movie was definitelly taken with a grain of salt. Much like most Christian-labeled movies. However, War Room will always be my favourite.

We are not called to wealth nor are we called to poverty.

We are called to Christ and Christ alone. If we are wealthy He has purpose for us to use that wealth to further His kingdom (It doesn't mean we CANT spend some or all of that money on self. It's free will.)

It is up to the conviction of the Spirit in a person with what they do with the money. if they spend it on lavish things and refuse to help anyone that is on their soul with those who have been given much, much will be expected.

God supplies the means for His purpose for our lives.

Jesus said to one rich man to give up his fortune then said it was easier for a camel. Yet another rich man saw such little value in wealth in comparison to the value of the spiritual wealth and said for those he wronged he would give them more. Jesus said of this man that he was not far from the kingdom.

As far as who is better off... it's a but like the arguement between the disciples over who will be greatest...... still worrying about human desires over simply taking hold 8f grace and mercy.

To simply be content with what God gives us.

Yes some will be greater, some have had their comfort.... but so what.... how ungrateful do we sound to God when He has saved us in mercy yet we still bicker over who is better... still seeking to appease our human ego.

Even the le as st in Heaven is greater than John..... if John were content and had nothing yet still had joy.... how dare we believe that being the least is a horrible and whatever God chooses to give us and place us isnt enough.


The enemy was not content in his place either. Just food for thought.

You know it's darn good satire when you genuinely can't tell if it's real or not.

I think I caught on once I got halfway through their article about the tortures of hell. I thought to myself: yeah, not even some of the most insane real-life sermons about how the speaker thinks unbelievers should be punished in hell were as sadistic as that depicted in this article, so perhaps it is satire.

And I then looked it up to see whether Landover was indeed a satirical site or for real.

I was relieved to see that it was the former, because otherwise, well, that'd be about as big a black eye on the public face of our faith in Christ as has ever been made by the extremists.

Believe it or not, I of all people actually took up a teaching position for the VBS program at my home church in Magnolia, once. When I was still in college. It was a Hispanic-themed week, then, and I think one of the first things the kids ever did, on the first night of VBS, was learn a more upbeat rendition of "Jesus Loves Me" in Spanish while doing all these motions.

Just once, though. I think overall the kids in my group seemed to like me and think I was one of the "cool" older kids leading them in school that week. They were mostly well-behaved, though, so I and the two fellow female college students leading the group with me were one of the luckier ones.

With all this recent talk about Christian-pandering movies, can I be embarrassingly honest? I am not even sure the futurist view of Revelation is the correct one, but I did kind of like Judgment, the last movie in that series of four about the Rapture and then the Tribulation afterward, just like the Left Behind movies. I wasn't crazy about the previous three (in fact the second, called Revelation: The Book has Been Opened, had such hilariously bad acting and fakey fire effects), but I remember watching Judgment at least passively several times as a college student, when I was still quite new to the faith.

It had Corbin Bernsen from L.A. Law and Mr. T in it.

ughhh it's like 1 am and I'm craving pork chops with white rice. Idk whyyyy!!!! I tried texting a friend of mine...and she says, "Just do fried tofu so healthier".....booooooo! Although she later on texted, "or bacon" ahahahah!

Oh, boy, happens to me too...one time, I was at work and there was a "Rapid", it's when a patient is in a emergent situation requiring the whole medical team to be present in the room. So this pt was unconscious, and they were trying to figure out why, well I happened to be in the hallway, and wanted to help out, I grabbed the blood glucose monitor (cause sometimes it could be low blood sugar causing it), anyways, made my way in the tiny cramped room, everyone was there, doctors, respiratory therapists, neurologists, charge nurse...Did a pinprick on the person's finger but circulation was terrible so did it on earlobe, grab the strip that absorbs the blood and popped the strip in the portable blood glucose monitor...it would do a countdown while analyzing...5...4...3...2...1..., well for some odd reason I zoned out and when it reached "3", I pulled the strip out prematurely...and everyone in the room just let out a "gasp!" Lol I was like, "Ack! So sorry!" Lol, it's good blood was still oozing from the earlobe, so immediately took another test strip and waited till the countdown finished. Thank goodness, the blood sugar was within normal range...Lol, one of my coworkers was making fun of me about that incident and said, "YOU HAD ONLY ONE JOB, ONE JOB ABBY!!!"

I'm a maladaptive daydreamer so this happens to me constantly. I had several women think I was staring at their cleavage when I was only thinking about something.

I also whisper dialogue, perform facial expressions, and randomly laugh from my day dreams. My manager at work believed I was schizophrenic.

It's good to know I'm not alone. I don't feel like such a weirdo now, lol.

I briefly went to VBS one time as a kid. I don't remember much about it except that we made some kind of flag out of a Popsicle stick and foam, and I drew pictures on mine. It was fun.

woah, just bought "just dance 2018" for the switch! I must say it is worth every penny lol...i'm sweating like crazy it's like zumba indoors lol, my mom danced with me and it was so fun! and it has a calorie meter looks like per song/dance you burn about 15-20 cal...man, it feels so enjoyable you dont even know your exercising!
