Yeah, it feels like some shift is taking place...like society is splitting along some seam, like tectonic plates...

Some attempting to make the hyper jump to a neo space age, and others reaching back to being more connected to the land.

I guess this is what people are bound to do with their own understanding and strength.

I tend towards minimalism. I like the idea of having a slice of land somewhere and living sustainably on it, and also being highly mobile.

I also know that in Him is the proper balance...the union of heaven and earth.

I don't condone the use of drugs, but I CAN see the benefit of a synchronised mushroom trip. We've done a synchronised vaccination rollout, so NOW let's have a synchronised summer of love.

I'm being semi-serious here. If we're not loving then what are we doing here? Without love this experience is pointless. All we seem to do is hate and take sides nowadays.

I was thinking about BTS. This is them: BTS - Wikipedia

They are a Korean pop group composed of 7 male members and I was just thinking how their leader, RM, said he was an atheist. And I was shaking my head because he has no faith and I was wondering how I could convince him to come to the faith. My witnessing skills are very poor. I don't think I could lead that guy to the LORD even if I tried. The fact that he is a superstar celebrity doesn't help either. I risk getting hurt and discriminated against by his fans because I'm a Christian.

If his spiritual condition is a concern, prayer is the first step. You can pray for him and the members of BTS. The Lord lays public figures on some believer's hearts. @brinny has a thread devoted to the subject. You may want to join in.

Practically speaking, it would be difficult to interact with him privately unless your work brought you into contact with people along those lines. There's the added of element of security and ramifications of the industry. No one gets a contract without making agreements. A lot of their lives are controlled. More than most realize.

The price of ministering to people in the public eye isn't vilification from their fans. Although that could be implemented to dissuade you. The true cost is personal danger to yourself, your loved ones, and them. They're in bondage and you're attempting to snatch them from the fire.

He doesn't let go without fight. You'll battle on natural and spiritual planes. The entertainment machine is such that it requires divine intervention and angelic involvement. You're dealing with demons embedded in every layer. And not the low ones. Those are the big guns.

Strengthening your prayer muscles is a must. If you feel drawn to praying for people like him, go deeper in prayer and fasting. Warfare is a given.

I know exactly what you're saying.

There's a lot involved but laborers are needed in all fields. Christians have difficulty feeling empathy for those in privileged positions. It's a distinct type of ministry. Many fall prey to the trappings of wealth and lose their way.

That's why I'm leery of people who want the good life and can't afford it. They're easy to buy off and they'll compromise your mission. You need someone in your corner who won't flip. That's hard to find.

As much as I dislike Hollywood and the LA area in general, the rest of California really needs an apologetic defense. Yes people are leaving in droves, mostly because of taxes, but what a lot of Easterners don't realize is that California is a really huge state, with quite a lot of beautiful wilderness and farm areas. And it has a lot of christian tradition. Attached are some photos I took recently of the area I live, and Northern California is equally if not even more amazing. It's really too bad for outsiders that Hollywood tends to get all of the focus, but good for locals, since the hidden places stay that way

I have a lot of friends and family in CA. It's a lovely place. One of the worst prayers I had to pray in recent years was concerning Hollywood. I had to make the offer. But I didn't want to go! You face your mortality in those moments. Thankfully, I'm headed elsewhere.

I used to date someone who lived in Tahoe and had family in Sonora. The area was tranquil. I love wine country but living in CA would vex my spirit. I'd only go if the Lord sent me.
