Maybe your generation, but I met quite a few women my age when I was trying to learn this kind of stuff & they were excellent at it. Not that they were going to make careers out of it, but have the skills nonetheless is a good thing for men & women both.I’m anomaly. It wasn’t encouraged.
Unfortunately I think my lack of home improvement skills can be a turnoff. Thankfully I am financially blessed so hiring out help isn't usually a problem.

The rise in domesticity produced two groups. Diehard Marthas and people who’ve found a happy medium. They aren’t June Cleaver or eating takeout every day. They’ve found their sweet spot.

that's what i'm talking aboutI wasn’t allowed to be a tomboy or overly masculine growing up. They wanted a lady and I was expected to behave. I view home improvement from a design and creative lens. I don’t have a burning desire to rip out walls. I just like beautiful spaces. It’s a means to an end.

Ugh, no, the actual home improvement tool parts aren't for me. Who knows tho, maybe that church group I'm trying to go to will want to do it for a service trip. But ugh, bad experiences in the past tho w/ those kinds of trips.
