  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Been putting it off lately. Mainly due to life circumstances. Although it's good to take a break too to refresh the mind.

Don’t break too long. You’ll lose your rhythm.

Actually, I don't really think about people praying for me. It makes sense that you do, it's just hard for me to picture other's praying for me, lol. Appreciate the sentiment.

Understandable, I don’t assume the same. But since we’re acquainted, I should be seeking God’s best on your behalf if I’m genuine. :)

They're fine. Nothing really new to report there, but that's for the best. Lol.

Did they get the mowing situation sorted out?

That's for certain. Although honestly I don't really worry about the virus anymore. Lol.

Good. You’re practical. I’m not surprised.

What’s new on the dating front? Are you looking?

Not sure if I can lose my rhythm. What I am writing about is very personal to me.

Yeah. Other people have said they prayed for me too. I find it somewhat awkward admittedly. But it's not problem.

Did they get the mowing situation sorted out?

Not sure. Think my mom does most of the mowing and he does what he can. Some exercise improves him. Although mowing season is pretty much over.

Good. You’re practical. I’m not surprised.

Thanks. I remember being really fearful of the virus at first.. but now.. I'm like.. if I get it.. that'll just be an interesting experience. I'm not really in any high risk category myself. lol.

I'm not looking currently. Just don't care either way to be honest.

Good. I look forward to reading it. :)

Now that I’m better and pain free, I’m ready to tackle a project. I won’t have class until January. I think I’ll launch the second site, I have four planned, but this is the easiest. It’s a lifestyle site and will focus on decor, food, etc.

Yeah. Other people have said they prayed for me too. I find it somewhat awkward admittedly. But it's not problem.

Thank you for understanding.

He’ll have a chance to recharge. Hopefully he doesn’t try to shovel snow.

A lot of people were due to the round the clock reporting. All you can do is be cautious and follow the prevention guidelines.

I'm not looking currently. Just don't care either way to be honest.

I get it. I’ve been in that place many times over. ;)

But I’ve come out of it. It took a while. I was very lackadaisical and bleh. *lol

Been putting it off lately. Mainly due to life circumstances. Although it's good to take a break too to refresh the mind.

In that case, get your phone out when you're on the toilet and type out notes.

The thing I discovered with writing is that the realm 'beyond the wall' is where all of the nuggets are. It's a bit like lifting weights at the gym - the muscle doesn't grow halfway through a set at reps 5 and 6, the muscle grows when you're squeezing that extra rep out and hitting a personal best. It's the same thing with your mind, the point of exhaustion is ACTUALLY when you get better at things.

A break should be no longer than a couple of days imo - and even then, they should be fortnightly. Now, you don't have to write enormous blocks of bulk everyday - just a little will do you, even if it's just half a page. Little and often is actually what you're looking for. When I'm on a mission to hit a deadline, I only do ONE 90 minute session a day. Because to me, chasing deadlines is a consistency game rather than a sword swinging attacking game. Working yourself into the ground is NOT the same as edging past the pain barrier.

Just a little friendly jab. I think you're going to create something epic, so I don't want to hurt you by being an enabler. What I will say is get the mind organised - what you write will be a manifestation of what you consume, so get out into nature and meditate. Keep listening to awesome music (Geroge's solo career is a good change up from The Beatles stuff) and make sure you're eating right. You'd be amazed at how effective a nutritionally dense diet is. If I eat rubbish I write rubbish.

Again, this is all to encourage you. I wouldn't waste my time if I didn't think you legitimately had it in you. Learn from my mistakes (legend has it that Reese from 2012 is still sitting around searching for inspiration - DON'T copy him.)

While browsing Gentleman’s Gazette, I came across an article you may find useful. :)

I don't see Rasta beanie, white sneaks, homeless-guy beard or peace pendant chain anywhere in there...

I'll give you the bullhorn belt buckle belt. That's the last remnant of my cowboy phase.

Putting this here... *lol

A guy from Africa actually said I was a "brother" because of this and he looked pretty serious and wasn't kidding. Lol.

We have a close family friend with multigenerational mulatto children. Its been interesting to observe.

The friend is 1/2 black and 1/2 Italian. She looks Italian.
She married an Italian man. But her daughter looks like a fair-skinned Black woman. Her daughter married an Italian man and the child looks Caucasian. All of them have an olive hue.

Another pair have mixed race (Polish & Black) parents. The daughter is fair-skinned with curly hair, brown eyes and larger features. The son is dark-skinned with straight hair, small features and baby blue eyes. The father isn’t dark-skinned.

If i may ask, please pray for me to get through three more days of work. About to start my fifth out of seven in a row again, that I do nothing to cause trouble of any sort, and that I have the energy to get all of the work done.

Just thought to ask now since I just awoke and really haven't gotten over that feeling of being sapped of energy that one has sometime when just waking up to take on the day ahead, yet. So, just doesn't seem like a good sign as to whether I'll be over that by the time I get to the lab or not.

Seven days? How many hours a day? That seems excessive, not even sure legal unless you consent. I can understand you not being happy about that. Working six days a week can get me mad.

That's interesting. I need to brush up on how genetics work. For whatever reason I have southern European features.. even.. north African features. One reason that guy from Africa excepted me as an African. He even said he thought I might have some northern African heritage before I told him. Still at 1% it shouldn't show much. Probably more of a phenotype coincidence. Lol.

I appreciate the kind words. Not sure if I'd call it "epic". I'm writing in a market where some of my political viewpoints are not appreciated. Not sure how much I'd be embraced.

Yeah, I listen to George Harrisons solo stuff all the time. Probably my favorite solo Beatle.

I just don't know if I work like you. I need a break or my mind just stalls. I deal with a lot of anxiety and my mind can easily close up. Although even when I'm not writing I still add to my notebook for things to add to the book.

Probably. I've had Indian taxi drivers ask me if I was Indian many times. I'm not. *lol

Does that mean I should call you bro now? *laughs

If you want. In this day an age it might be safer if I identify as a person of color lol.

Yeah, I used to get asked if I was Jewish all the time even from an angry neo-Nazi once. Lol. Now it's Italian or north African on the rare occasion. I do not know where my roman nose came from. Although I kind of like it, makes my face look more manly even though I wish my nose profile was a little less bumpy.

12 hours. I did consent for this, though. In fact I volunteered out of financial necessity.
