I've been good, way too much to talk about on a forum board, but in short I lived the high life for a long time and did a full circle back to valuing peace and love before anything else, man ☮️

I am trying Laphroaig 10 (I went straight for Quarter Cask but was told I should still try 10), Lagavulin 8, Bunnahabhain 12 (so nice!) and Kilchoman Sanaig. So mostly peat apart from the Bunnahabhain 12. I think I've found my home in Islay whiskies!

He is doing better. I believe he's out or going to be out of the ICU shortly and will begin physical therapy. He cannot talk and is still out of it, but at least he's somewhat aware of things right now. I would visit him, but I've been sick all week and some of last week.

Does anyone seriously believe that in this verse:
Proverbs 25:26
A righteous man who falters before the wicked is like a murky spring and a polluted well, that God is calling us to violence in the name of self-defense and condemns the righteous man who allows a wicked person to kill him instead of fighting back and killing the wicked man first? That Solomon here is actually talking about physical violence at all? Because I just met someone who did.

In the list of all the ridiculous interpretations and lack of consideration of context of Scripture I have ever heard in my life, ... that sadly ranks only somewhere around the middle.

Yeah! Fight, Christ-believers! Grab a gun and start a shootin'! Totally what Jesus did in the several agonizing and humiliating hours leading to His death at the hands of hateful men!

Sorry, I just ... it really grates on my nerves to see Christianity represented by some kind of macho, tough-guy attitude.

Well I have a week off. Got Netflix back. Been watching the Evil Dead films and TV show. Actually haven't seen the first two before, but when I was a kid a childhood friend would play Army Of Darkness all the time.. lol. Used to scare me a lot as a kid. Now days I don't know what I found so scary about it, lol.

That commercial on YouTube just now with an aged Bill Murray doing clips involving Groundhog Day gave me a glimmer of a hope that there'd be a sequel to the original. But I don't think it's going to happen.
