Letting go is the best solution for a healthy mind and heart. :)

Easier said than done, unfortunately, Lady Bella. But I certainly appreciate your seeming capacity for thought and spirituality.

That's good stuff, LaBella. Many are the teachers today who are just blind leaders leading others into ditches. And for your friend you helped, it shows their positive response to grace. I'm glad you not only refused to throw them a pity party, but kindly offered them a hand-up to thrive. Excellent. Ministry often doesn't work out in the ways in which people respond like your friend did.

Thank you. We were a pod of 20 women that were very close with extended friendships that went 30 deep. When we all got together it was large group of 50 or more! We had a blast.

The pod walked hand-in-hand on a daily basis. We weren’t fair weather friends. Each persons gifts and talents benefited the group in some way. The mutual sharing and support was incredible. No one felt left out and my phone rang from sunrise to midnight! But it was brotherhood in the truest sense.

What I did for her is how we operated with each other. They blessed me too and helped with my dating prospects, writing, and pushed me out the shadow. ;-)
If you don't mind, can you share the name of the ministry that facilitated this? I'd like to look more into it.

There was no ministry. We found one another and bonded. Why do you assume it was connected with a ministry?
No church or anything? It's just fascinating that that number of people decided to get together and do that with no organization, planning, etc. It's definitely doable, but it's just that I've heard nothing of the sort from anything outside the "church".

Each person entered with their own ties. That’s how our numbers grew. The ethos of our bond was love and togetherness. Everyone had their strengths and weaknesses. We didn’t exclude people based on their challenges. We were friends. Not a group in the matter you’re surmising with the church.

We were invested in one another. I haven’t encountered the same on that scale with the depth of consistency and engagement we possessed. I suspect my reflections are the Lord’s way of reminding me of important principles and things I need to bring to my life once more.

From the way I relate to the opposite sex to friendships. Relationships are on His mind. ~laughs
Relationships are definitely on His mind. I was thinking about how He said that it isn't good for man to be alone. Then upon reflection of that and my current season, I inquired why it was that at this time, I don't have any deep-rooted fellowship (either with the opposite sex or same) and He told me that in order for me to have the destiny He's told me about, I must go thru this time of solitary. (where it's mostly just He and I).

..Had a thought come to me for a short story filler. What if technology advanced to the point where DNA could be gathered and engineered from the standpoint of mere saliva samples? You'd have millions of subjects from USPS mail envelopes right there. Fiction. Just sayin' :p

Speaking of the United States Postal Service..It's a service that has been in the red for years and the feds know it. What if they started a program that allowed businesses to advertise on peoples parcels and first class mail items? Sure, it would cost a little investment, but the payoff would bring them in the black in just a few years I'm sure. It would be a win for businesses looking for advertising options and a plus for the government too.

I don't use linen but I did see your info and it looks very interesting and helpful for people who use it. :)

I sew, but I know nearly nothing about sewing clothing. Plushies are my specialty. ^_^ Occasionally I make home decor as well.

You sew plushies? You have me beat.

Nice font color. I wonder if there's pink. I might have to call dibs on pink.

Just noticed your gracious entrance into the singles community a few minutes ago, Pixel. Welcome. *bows*

Nice anime avatar. I guess you could say most of my drawings are well, a bit anime, too.

Thank you. I have used Li Syaoran to represent myself ever since I joined my first Internet-based community about thirteen years ago. Because of his seeming innocence and romantic ideals towards the girl he fell in love with and all. ^_^

Hey, if you ever feel comfortable enough sharing them, I am sure that many of us here would like to see your artistic work. Miss @Multifavs, the other resident knight of this community and fellow swordswoman ^-^, shares her drawings here all of the time, if that helps encourage you at all. :)
