Guys, guys! I just learned something new today in the singles community! A most invaluable piece of life wisdom.

... If a man wants to have any chance of winning a woman's heart, he must either be or pretend to be a liberal feminist! Because girls these days are not good Christians and will absolutely reject a right winger.

..... Well, golly, I have been doing it wrong all these years in my never-ending quest for a Lady Knight! But at last I have been given the tools and the knowledge. Now all I need do is to prepare them for war.

Turns out I have a cold. I woke up with blocked throat and a runny nose. At least the headaches are gone.
I think fasting weakeness my immune system.

I understand that you wish to fast and grow stronger in personal faith, Moe, but if fasting draws out symptoms like this so easily and, as you say, apparently weakens your immune system, do you think it is worth it compromise yourself physically this much? Even for the sake of doing something Godly? I am being serious here, mind you. No sarcasm. (Since I admit I made a pretty darn sarcastic post just above this one.)

Happy day after Easter!

My family members have left for home, and it's quiet around here. We went to my sister's church for Easter Sunday. The sermon was good, but the music was way too loud. I've been to some loud concerts in my day, but this was just wrong. What kept going through my mind was "Does this mean I'm too old?" and "Why not start a church for introverts?" It was all so over the top. Well, not exclusively for introverts, but one that keeps them in mind. At least my sister likes it, lol.

Was gonna make a thread but I figured that might be too much, so I'll ask here. I need ideas for worship on Sunday. I don't want to play the typical Easter songs (Kari Jobe-forever, Elevation-Resurrecting). Anyone have any suggestions for songs I could play? songs that might have touched you in a deep way about Christ's resurrection? I have until Friday to start practice so I have some time before then.

It's too late now for song suggestions... but.. In Christ Alone is the best. I can't think about the lyrics of that song and not get emotional...

I was surprised how many seniors were there. The sound person just didn't do a very good job with the mix.

As far as keeping introverts in mind for services, it's still possible to do in ways that extroverts also appreciate. I've seen it work. It just doesn't fit the mold of what most contemporary services look like these days.

As far as keeping introverts in mind for services, it's still possible to do in ways that extroverts also appreciate. I've seen it work. It just doesn't fit the mold of what most contemporary services look like these days.

What do you think would work best in designing a service where both introverts and extroverts feel comfortable?
For me, I'm not entirely even sure how I feel most comfortable. As far as music goes... I think I feel most comfortable with the lights dim, and the music so loud that if I did sing.. no one would hear me except God. But.. I'm not sure if that is introversion or something else.

Wait. Are you saying I use the knighthood to have an excuse to act like just some brute and also that Fire Girl could kick my butt in a fight? Man, you know I could totally take her.

(Okay, no, I probably couldn't. But dang it if I'd go down easily. I ain't no easy win. )

Because nobody would attend?

Although on a more serious note, it does feel like Christianity is more geared towards extroverts. Things like preaching, outreach, sharing testimonies, and being demonstrative in worship just don't come all that easily to us introverts.

Although having said that, I don't really have ideas on how to make church a more introvert-friendly environment. Perhaps part of the problem is that introverts can react differently to stimuli - for example when it comes to worship loud music and being part of a large crowd don't bother me all that much, but I know that's not necessarily the case with others.

My cat had my worried for a few days now, she was just puking everyday. This morning, i think i found the cause of it, she puked up a piece of plastic wrapper, I hope that's it finally, might have to take her to the vet if she keeps up after this.

I've had plenty of nightmares where dinosaurs chase after me or monsters attack me that don't really phase me anymore.. yet this one is a little unnerving. Lol.
