  • CF has always been a site that welcomes people from different backgrounds and beliefs to participate in discussion and even debate. That is the nature of its ministry. In view of recent events emotions are running very high. We need to remind people of some basic principles in debating on this site. We need to be civil when we express differences in opinion. No personal attacks. Avoid you, your statements. Don't characterize an entire political party with comparisons to Fascism or Communism or other extreme movements that committed atrocities. CF is not the place for broad brush or blanket statements about groups and political parties. Put the broad brushes and blankets away when you come to CF, better yet, put them in the incinerator. Debate had no place for them. We need to remember that people that commit acts of violence represent themselves or a small extreme faction.

What's on your mind?

Most Cinderella plot movies are pretty boring. There is no character development and why do the prince and cinderella fall in love? They are usually both pretty shallow characters.

There are a few exceptions in a couple books I’ve read and movies I’ve watched where they did bother giving the characters personalities and motivation and those were pretty good.

lol i saw a coworker walking in the hallway and started to sing and dance...
"Isn't she lovely, isn't she wonderfffulll..."
lol she started cat walking and we just sang and dance, the unit clerk ignored us so i went to bug her too, rubbed my shoulder on hers and sang.."You are the dancing queen...young and sweetttt..." she replied in a monotonous voice, "I only dance when I'm really drunk..." so i left her and bothered another nurse..."and now i wonder...if i could fall into the sky and days would pass, would pass me by, oh i would walk a thousand miles, just to be with you tonight..." lol then she hummed along...hahaaha...yups gotta keep the unit sane!

Good song, by the way. Just not a serious fan. ^-^

Watching the very first Rambo movie with the guys from the Mag right now. Honestly, this one I can appreciate, unlike the others that came afterward. It's really hard not to sympathize with John Rambo in this one despite my distaste for war. He was being treated very poorly and was just a traumatized, unfortunate soul from the Vietnam War. He didn't seem like a dishonorable kill-crazy monster in this one, but was just trying to return to a normal civilian life again after all the horrors he had both committed and had to endure. And yet everyone in town immediately started treating him like cancer when he never came off as threatening or hostile in any way.

of any of them??!!!:fearful::fearscream:

Oh, I just meant the "dancing queen" song. I like hearing it whenever it happens to come on in the vicinity of my ears, but never actively pursued hearing or possessing it or anything. I don't even know the artist or band who made it. ^_^

Still depends on the quality, though.

There's a saying I have heard a few times that even when pizza is "bad", it's still pretty good. ... Not entirely true. I have run afoul of one or two brands of pizza that were clearly cheap pieces of slime on a shingle. @Anthony7 would have put a hit out on me if I had dared to rate them as anything above barely edible. And I would have to concede that he'd be in the right to do so as an Italian who takes pride in such things, were I more forgiving of those thankfully few examples. ^_^
We do tend to take pizza quite seriously. :eheh: To us, it's more than just pizza...its life. :D

You know what, that gives me an idea of what to draw! ^_^
Was it inspired by how highly us Italians view pizza? :p if so, this should be interesting. =P

Just got back a few hours ago from a trip to the beach. It was an awesome and much-needed vacation; I ended up spending a couple days there (as well as a day in Corpus visiting the U.S.S. Lexington and Texas State Aqarium), and got some incredible shots:

I also got some pictures of the aftermath of hurricane Harvey, even though a full year has elapsed since it hit the gulf coast:

My work is a 100 billion dollar a year company and they are STILL under rebuild after Harvey.

OMM: I hope the car not starting yesterday was a fluke and there are no more problems.
Also OMM: I wish the apartment people would come by and fix my water heater..... :| I loathe cold showers.

Oh, sorry if my post was a little misleading. It was actually related to SK's post suggesting what I could draw. I do think that would be interesting, though. :eheh:

Lovely photos of the trip! I especially love the sunrise/sunset in the second and third photos. I hope the coast recovers soon. I'm sure you had a great time!

Metroid: Mission Alpha is complete!!

I can't believe I actually finished a series...I mean, this is only the third time in my whole life that I finished an entire series. Usually I lose interest in the series and/or the main character long before I finish. Samus has stayed my favorite long enough to accomplish this!

Sometimes you just need a day of doing nothing. This has been the most productive and yet relaxing day of nothing.
So.
Happy.

I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday and weekend as well!

Yeah, it was quite devastating. I was surprised how well the town was able to recover since, but there was still a lot of noticeable damage. Here's a few more pics of it I didn't upload - the condo I usually stay at (top 2 pics) isn't even taking reservations right now:

Apology accepted. :p Jk, although a drawing about Italians and pizza would be epic, haha.

Thanks! :blush1::happyblush: Me too, here are a few more sunset photos for Multisunsets.

This weekend went by fast.. didn't even touch my PS4. Going to spend the rest of the Sunday afternoon catching up on Nostalgia Critic episodes I've missed. Tempted to download the latest Doom game.. but that'd take probably 4-5 hours to fully download and install.

Hah hah. Good for you, Miss Ray.

I hope you are all enjoying your Sunday and weekend as well!

Actually .... I just woke up. There's a rotating shift schedule at work for you, though. =/

Now I need to salvage what little of this day I can though by getting to the evening service at my home church in time. ^_^ I haven't even been able to be there yet since moving back to Magnolia a few weeks ago.
