Where there's a will, a ladybug will find a way. Mine were coming in through a tiny gap under a storm window, and then apparently squeezing around the wooden inner frame.

@NurseAbigail , @Miles , where are these places that you live where you have to pay heed to mass intrusions of ladybugs into your house? I must go there to live, myself, if they at least replace the most unwanted intrusions by cockroaches, anyway. ^_^

Just get you some old school Demon pesticide (Like with all things new, the new formula isn't as effective..... probably cause someone tried to drink it and now they have to make sure it doesnt harm stupid humans.... which means it does little if anything to bugs)

The old stuff would kill ANYTHING even while dry on the baseboards and walls for about 6 months plus. Now, it does "okay" but you have to use much more and its not likely to kill off all of them, only cut back on them a good bit.

Get a garden sprayer thing, mix up some poison, spray the walls, baseboards etc. and if you really want to be cautious use some kitchen gloves, eye protection and a mask over your mouth and nose.(just in case you get any back spray).

Also you can put diatomaceous earth in places they are likely to walk over it (but if you want to be cautious put on a mask as it can do damage to the lungs if inhaled)

Depending on how bad you have them it should at the very least cut back on them drastically.

Where are these telemarketers getting my cell phone number from? Is there a list now available to these people or what? I know something has to be going on where they now have access otherwise there wouldn't be a "do not call registry". It's getting bad when they start spamming from local numbers too.

I've been watching the ice skating at the winter olympics and for the life of me I have know idea how you judge or score that. It's the same with gymnastics. They just do a bunch of fancy jumping and twirling and they all seem to execute it perfectly(except for a few). I don't know how you judge one as being better than the other. It's not like racing where it's easy to know the winners. First to cross the line gets gold, second gets silver, and third, bronze. This all seems to be nitpicking the tiny little details and relies on the judges being fair and not missing anything.

I can't really speak for figure skating as I've never done it, but in gymnastics they judge you based on level of difficulty and execution and some maneuvers are worth a certain amount of points. Points are deducted if you step out of the line on a floor routine or don't stick the landing on a dismount. I'm sure most of the same rules apply for skating as well.

I feel kind of bad about something I said yesterday. A friend is disappointed that he might be leaving a team he's worked with for years. He mentioned that few even noticed when his old boss left.

In response, I picked one of the biggest names in the field, and suggested that few noticed when he left. This may have come across as a thoughtless thing to say, but my response was partly to put things in perspective, and partly to suggest that people actually do notice.

I then went on to say something like "this is why people make things like art and music, because work is work and few are remembered for that". It didn't help that I was thinking about work-related tasks at the time, but in retrospect it just seems like my words and my thoughts went separate ways.

It all came back to me when I was trying to fall asleep last night.
