Was looking through the ol' "If the Singles Forum Was ..." thread from almost ten years ago, when I was still pretty new here.

I saw a commercial that attested to this last year. Four women pooled their resources and purchased a home. I think we'll see more of that and communal living too and communities will follow.

I recently saw a graph how living arrangements have changed over the decades. I was surprised ‘living alone’ is actually increasing the most. Not ‘living with a partner but not married.’ (I thought that’d be increasing but it’d rising only slightly). Not ‘living with roommates.’ Living alone.
As someone who’s not married and lives alone, it’s the easiest if you can afford it. I had roommates for a time. It’s hit or miss. But I felt even with good roommates tho, it felt off. You don’t have the feminine.

We may see communal living increase, tho. We may just be at the tipping point where that’s gonna increase. I know several people like that, these are people who got tired of living at home but can’t afford a place of their own (yet) either, and aren’t married (yet).

Like how I used to think ‘widows skew the single numbers at church’, I think they may be skewing the ‘living alone’ numbers. And a lot of people who live alone may still be ‘seeing’ someone.

I'm in a Facebook group called Things That Dave Doesn't Allow. The man called Dave who is the subject of the group added me as a friend today, and I'm not sure why. I can't even see his friends list to check if he added anyone else from the group too. It's a mystery.
