I’m doing well- finally got my first teaching position! Unfortunately I interviewed for/accepted the job only a couple weeks before the start of school so I’ve been extremely busy scrambling to get my classroom togetherOf course you ... probably weren't expecting a different answer from me in particular.

For me as a teacher my last name is what I’m known by. I have shirts, decorations, engraved cups, pens, friendship bracelets from kids all with my last name on it. I would be sad to give it all up if I didn’t have to.I haven’t really thought about it, I guess if it was that important then sure I’d consider it.
I know someone that took their wife’s name because his surname was very common in Sweden and hers was an English name.
