@RileyG, I didn't realize you played The Sims. We have for first three and expansions and didn't get the 4th due to changes. How do you like that version?
I like the first three the best. Sims 4 is ok.

Sometimes I wonder if a coworker might be attracted to me. But I've been wrong about this sort of thing so many times before. I think I'll just have to take things as they come.

I miss designing houses in The Sims.

In the Sims 2, I liked to redesign the dorms that came with the University expansion pack.

One of the things that would bug me with the dorms is that the NPC sims would always want to turn on the stereo system. So that object is gone when I have my sim in a dorm.

I like the first three the best. Sims 4 is ok.

Sims 1 allowed you to exploit mom for income. She's a gnome making phenom.

Sims 2 allowed you to build up skills for children. When they went to work they progressed rapidly. It was a nice feature.

Sims 3 had a drunken butler who wouldn't quit until he collapsed or cooked through your food unceasingly. There were other pluses but that was so over the top it couldn't be ignored.

Hey, @bèlla , is that Darling Desi in your avatar? ^-^

Also just now, being the end of my seven nights in a row at work ...

I'm glad you got through that miserable work week alright. Good for you! :cheer:

Thanks, man. But aside from the fact in itself that is was seven 12-hour shifts (another guy who works out in the plant told me the other night when he came to my lab to bring me work said that he lost count of how many nights straight he is currently on, just that it is somewhere between 10 and 15 O_O ), those nights weren't too bad.

Still, as I hinted to @bèlla earlier when I spoke of making changes to my life, I have chosen to leave Albemarle. My last day will be two Fridays from now. I don't know where the Spirit is leading me from here, except perhaps to go North in general, but I am trusting Him. It isn't because I hate Albemarle overall, despite my complaints here and there about this job over the last five to six years. I actually have really good memories there and it does pay very well. There's good and bad with pretty much every work location, after all.

There's a lot I have to say about the mental struggles I'd been having over the last few months while working there and living in this town, Magnolia. (It was a good place to go back to after so many years, and I am happy that I did. Among other things, there is the memory I have of the lovely Erin whom I adored for almost two years without regret, thanks to having come back to Magnolia to work at Albemarle.) But I really don't know how to relate all of those struggles. I think my reasons can ultimately boil down to just feeling it is time to move on. And to leave a job entirely is going to propel me to start focusing on the effort to make those changes, you know?

Luckily for the few people at work who found out about my leaving so far, they have expressed good will and a hint of sadness to see me go, which I was grateful for, and am thus assured that I am leaving on good terms with everyone. So again, while I have had my personal struggles there from time to time over the last five to six years, there is no bad blood between myself and anyone else, in their eyes or my own, it seems. So it's nice to leave on that note.

As far as I can tell neither Erin nor Mary - the two women there who I feel the most personal respect for - know about my choice to leave yet, but I will be sure to tell them good bye before I do, and that they were good friends and positive influences to have on my daily life working there due to their good and gentle natures.

I hope everyone is doing well!

I'm good, Saucy.

Just a bit nervous about general life changes right now. As explained partially in my previous post.

I am sure that no matter how many uncertain or anxious days I might experience from here, that the Lord will make it so that everything works out.

Honestly it was good that I stayed at one lab job just this long for once. About 5.5 years.

6.5 in all if you count the first time I was there right out of school, but had to be let go after just one year due to the economy at the time.
(Sarcastic political joke: Thanks, Obama! = P )

You and @ReesePiece23 crossed my thoughts the other day during my quiet time and I prayed for you both. While I didn't know what you had in mind I asked for the Lord's provision and guidance.

This IS the time new beginnings. Things will never line up better supernaturally in your favor. The season of planting is upon is. Welcome it and step boldly into all the Lord has in store. You are a Kingdom man. There is more for you to see and accomplish. Lives to touch and share. The desires of your heart haven't been realized. God willing you're moving towards them and we'll have something to celebrate. Good luck.
