Why is alcohol so popular? After so many years now of drinking infrequently, I don't understand the appeal anymore. It's actually quite dull.

I like the taste of beer, but now that we have SO many amazing 0% ABV options out there, I must just go completely teetotal. I don't need the alcohol to enjoy a beer. A good beer is a good beer with or without.

I rarely drink now. I've got a dozen bottles of whisky that are untouched. I don't buy wine anymore and I think I've had beer maybe 3 occasions in the past 12 months.

I have felt almost totally fine since about a full day after going to the ER, Miss Sampa, thank you.

Also I was grateful to see a hello from one half of the SoS brigade, Miss @Somber , this morning after so long.


Also .... snow.

I just took these pictures when I awoke (I'm on night shift when I go back to work Tuesday) a few hours ago, just outside the same place I lived when this last happened, three years ago. ^-^

That's great news! And also to see @Somber , it's been a while. Snow is a rarity where you are. Hers some of the snow here.

My heater can't keep up with negative temps. A friend called me yesterday to check on how I'm doing. She had to go out and buy heaters for her family after.

Adorable idea!!! And I think you make it even more adordable. I did this once some years ago after a shift plowing snow. Same kind of coat.

I will have to wait for building my snowman as we are negative temps. I had ice chunks in my snowblower today but we got up to 6 degrees.

There's a song that has repeated as I walked into a Panera and grocery store. I bookmarked it, tears for fear everyone wants to rule the world.

It took me back to 2009 where the workplace was like an episode of survivor, as one new person said who had run a construction business before coming. Quite a few were ruthless in their measures to be on top and favored. Now again as I am in sort of the same environment but not part of the regular crews (removed, protected in a way physically and spiritually) I see even worse measures and micromanaging on a big level.

The song victory by elevation worship came over the radio today as I drove away from the grocery store thinking about the song everyone wants to rule the world and changes with management. I can't help but think the battle belongs to the Lord. I really believe supernatural things happened Saturday that tells me there is a battle surrounding me. I need to be humble and hang into who I am in Christ. Many are watching me and it could be the perfect opportunity to demonstrate Christ grace and forgiveness if my heart is postured and in the right place. I still need to be guarded, but I think some of my defensive stance may get in the way of the work to be done.

A 3 day system of snow is coming and I'm not looking forward to it. Weekend plans too that hopefully will pan out.
