I'm at my sister's house and watching the Lions. How about you? What's everyone doing for Thanksgiving!?
Once again, you guys across the pond think you own the place.Yeah, well when you post on CF you're in America baby. Lol.
We dont celebrate that in Sweden...
Always hard being a Lions fan on Thanksgiving b/c you're supposed to be socializing w/ your family. Luckily I gave up on the Lions a long time ago so it doesn't bother me anymore.I'm at my sister's house and watching the Lions. How about you?
I decided on Coco. It has some of those same themes, but there's a lot good. I'll write more later. I'm about 1/3 to 1/2 way done. (I always take a little break while watching a movie, just one of my quirks LOL)Trying to find a cartoon movie on Disney+ to watch I haven't seen. I finally decided on Zootopia b/c I hear it's really good but I'm 5 minutes into it & it's another 'follow your dreams', 'traditions are meant to be broken', 'society is oppressive', etc. type movie. I am so tired of these kinds of movies. If it was once in a while it'd be fine, but it's over & over again. & I think these kinds of movies can be damaging b/c they don't teach practicality. Practicality & tradition CAN Be good.
Ugh, not sure I'm being too harsh on it, but I think I'll try to find something different.
Whatever happened to movies that are just fun & the hero wants to do something b/c he wants to & it's fun to him.
I would love to go just one night without having a nightmare, just saying.
Yes, that's definitely true. I have experienced some trauma in my life, and the nightmares make it seem like I will never truly heal. But I just continue to hope and pray for the best. So, thank you for your prayers. They mean a lot.Prayed for your peace in times of slumber, Chelsea. I know this can be very hard to deal with, even for days long after we've awakened that nightmares still stick with us.![]()
If everyone would please pray for me to get through the next four days of work starting tomorrow morning, with no problems, especially with that loud radio. I've already asked a superior to say something about it a week ago, but it doesn't seem to have been heard very well.
That must be unbearable. I don't know how you put up with it.![]()
By the way, @bèlla , a little over one third of the way through Pride and Prejudice, still. Just got past the part where it seems Jane was turned down for someone else by Mr. Bingley. And her response, when prompted by her sister Elizabeth to feel more mistrust for him - or fellow humans as a whole - as a result, it seemed, was so unbelievably amiable you know Jane Bennet is the one literary character who has my heart for life. I couldn't quote it here since the book remains on my desk at work, but the way author Jane Austen words Jane's replies to assure Elizabeth that she feels it is not her place to show or even feel any animosity over the situation, it was excellent writing.
"So sweet you may get diabetes", indeed. ^-^
