Just received word, the music minister at my home church in Magnolia, College View Baptist, is actually transferring to another nearby church, Antioch West, to become pastor there. So this is not a lateral move as I thought at first, and in fact must be a major step for him.

I missed Brother Aaron at church last Sunday evening when I went out of town to Arkansas for the weekend, unfortunately, as the morning service was to be his last time at College View and not evening, but, we all had the chance to wish him well on his new journey via Facebook just now, at least.

So I ask that everyone please pray with me for Brother Aaron Middleton to do well as pastor at this new church, Antioch West, starting next Sunday.

(*Just thinking aloud to no one in particular*) The nerve of some people sometimes, jeez! Seriously, was I wrong there?

.... Also just learned that an elderly member at my church College View, named Jack Rogers, just died. ... Another one to the grave for now , until a day of hope in which Jesus Christ will bring us back from our dust and ash unto life once more, this time forever in which we will not be hurt of the second death if we only believe.

Please pray for Jack's family to get through this time of loss.

'Looks like - however small in number my home church has become since the days I was in college, it seems (from well over 100 normal attendants to seemingly 40 at best now) - that quite a lot has been happening at my church as of late, for good or for ill change.

At times I think or realise that those of us in more 'privileged' positions have 'too many choices'. That results us in becoming disorientated or lack of focus to enhance specific areas greatly.

-I don't know why my sleep has been so messed up all year. It's like I go back and forth between waking up too early every day and sleeping in too late every day.

-Every time I look at my blog entries I wonder why my entry about a prototype plush that didn't turn out that great has more views than the better final version.

Been getting into listening to 1950s music as a of late. Most of it is pretty inferior to the complexity/emotional feel of popular music in the latter decades (yeah.. even compared to modern music).. but something is pretty soothing about the sound.
