It used to be that when you took leave you could be pretty well assured of not being contacted except in the direst of emergencies. But these days unless you physically go somewhere where there's no signal you're just a phone call/text message away.

Well, today I have to make a few edits to a drawing I made a while ago, nothing really planned after that but I do need to make some more drawings. Maybe I'll make some more pixel art soon!

I'm on leave, so I am not going to read that email that was forwarded to me so that I can give a better estimate of how long it's going to take me to complete the request that has come in. I gave a date, and said that I can give a revised estimate when I get back, and that's the way it's going to stay.

And this hasn't gone away...

In his defence, the guy who's passing on messages to me shouldn't have been the one who was contacted in my absence, but this is a non-standard project and our usual processes have fallen by the wayside, and because he's not used to handling communication he doesn't know how to stave off queries like this. But the fact remains that I should not have been brought into this at all. Being on leave means that I'm not available, and that's what should have communicated in response.

The snow is melting. I've been able to walk down to the convenience store in my jean jacket to grab a diet coke. It's cool but not cold and I love the cool breeze as I walk. It's my favorite kind of weather.

Walking is going to be a must for me this summer.

Going out on Saturday for St Patrick day, my grandparents LOVED paddy day - my grandfather was Irish. So think it be a great way to think about them, plus my nana left me a small amount of money so going to buy something nice, like a piece of jewellery, and a charm for the charm bracelet she left me
