I’m the opposite. It’s difficult to write long stories and pretty easy to write short stories.I could never write a short story, unless I just take a chapter or two from a larger story I’m writing
For me, I always want to know what happened before the story started, and after it ended. So it has to be epic.
The longest I’ve gotten was when trying the nanowrimo, and I discovered that I just didnt enjoy it as much, because I do my best writing when inspired... and trying to get a word count took the enjoyment and inspiration away.
I would like to actually finish writing a book someday - but it’s probably not going to be very long.
That said - what I did write in nanowrimo is usable as a whole (even if it is scrapped) as it takes place in the past of the book (series) I’ve been creating over the years with my friend.
